THINGS TO BE AWARE OF WHEN BUYING MY JEEP, ASK IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTION:

  • Feel free to requst additional pics, i have no problem emailing them to you, but prefer txting them to you being that im a busy person.  I also have a short video of the jeep including a walk around and of it running.
  • I did not clean the interior at all before taking pics of it.  And most to the outside pics were takin without washing, i think this gives u a better idea of what the jeep looks like with out trying to hide anything like you would get if buying from a car dealer. I want you to satisfied and happy with what you get.  I am an honest person and expect you to be as well, and honestly if the Jeep was sitting on the lot of a car dealer, they would be asking $19,000 to $20,000.  I have over $20,000 in this jeep easy.
  • All Seats are in really good shape, no tears, all working properly
  • Center Console has a crack in it somehow from my elbow, i didnt notice it until a couple months ago
  • Speedometer works sparatic, this happened once before because of JB conversions speed sensor on the SYE.  This also makes check engine light come on.  You will need to buy a new one of these, they are very cheap and you can probably get one free from JB conversions like i did.  When this is fixed the check engine light will go off.   (CALL WITH QUESTIONS, EASY AND CHEAP FIX). I will try and fix it myself in the next couple days.  If i get it fixed i will update this.
  • HEATING AND AIR WORK PERFECT
  • Jeep has no carpet, it was removed before i bought it.  But this will also make you aware that there is NO RUST.
  • You will need to buy floor matts.
  • I have the backseat, which is not installed at the moment.  I will ship you this as well, or i can install it for you.
  • Back seat is in great shape, it was not used much.
  • Stock tire carrier was removed due to buying a swing out tire carrier, tail gate was prefessional painted, looks like a new one.
  • Jeep has very few minor blemishes and very small scratches,  Looks a lot better than most 2005 jeeps.
  • Radio is not hooked up to antenna, all you will have to do is connect the wire behind the aftermarket cd player. I have the aftermarket adaptor in the console, just never installed it.  I always listen to mp3s from my phone.
  • Speakers work fair, good enough for me.   But you may want to replace them depending on how you like your music.  They are very cheap to buy. Like $30, or high end set $60 per pair, something like that.
  • Catalytic converter makes minor rattle at times, due to it rattleing against the aftermarket skid plate, easy fix.  I adjusted it a bit, but still rattle a tad.  Small Fix, well if u want to fix it. Its not really a fix, just a small adjustment.
  • Top is in fair shape, as good as most other 2005 soft top jeeps.  You may need to replace it in a couple years.  Small tears in pics above hard doors, which the previous owner did by not knowing how to put it up, make sure to look at pics.  I recommend the Rampage Soft Top, which i was going to buy before i decided i wanted a camaro again.  This is a very popular Soft Top on Jeepforum.com, probably the most popular aftermarket top by jeep enthusiast.  And its only about $360, here is the link to buy it on 4WheelParts.com , or there are a bunch of other places to buy it. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tops/Bowless-Soft-Top.aspx?t_c=75&t_s=459&t_pt=3382&t_pl=104609&t_pn=RPP109535

PLEASE CALL OR TEXT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS, I KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS JEEP. THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE JEEP THAT JUST LOOKS PRETTY.  BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT DOES LOOK PRETTY AND BETTER THAN MOST IVE SEEN FOR A 2005. THIS JEEP IS SET UP TO GO WHEELING, AND VERY FEW OUT THERE WILL OUT PREFORM IT OFF ROAD, WELL UNLESS U REALLY GET INTO SERIOUS $$$.  THE FRONT AXLE DOES HAVE DISCONNECTS, BUT I DON'T NOT USE THEM, ITS PRETTY STIFF UP FRONT WITH OUT THEM.  ALSO THE DISCONNECTS BRACKET WILL HAVE TO BE CUSTOM WELDED ON THE P/S IF U DO WANT TO USE THEM, VERY MINOR JOB, D/S IS FINE.  BUT LIKE I SAID, I DROVE EVERYDAY WITHOUT THEM. JEEP DOES NOT HAVE A BODY LIFT, BEING I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO HAVE TO INSTALL ONE, THIS IS TO KEEP THE CENTER OF GRAVITY DOWN LOWER, THE TUMMY TUCKER WAS INSTALLED WITHOUT HAVING TO DO A BODY LIFT, THAT'S REALLY THE MAIN REASON FOR GOING WITH THE AEV TUMMY TUCKER. ALMOST ALL OTHER TRANSFER CASE LIFTS REQUIRE A SMALL BODY LIFT... ABOUT 1".  THIS JEEPS HAS ABOUT AS MUCH CLEARANCE UNDER THE TRANSFER SKID AS A JEEP RUNNING 37 TO 39" TIRES.  FRONT AND REAR AXLES ARE COMPLETELY LIKE NEW, SORRY EXCEPT FOR THE FRONT RUBICON LOCKER.  EVERYTHING WAS BROKEN IN PROPERLY, THE DIFF FLUID CHANGED AT ABOUT 500 TO 750 MILES WITH LUCAS DIFF OIL. FONT AXLE HAS RCV SHAFTS WHICH HAVE A LIFETIME WARRENTY AGAINST BREAKAGE, IF U BREAK ONE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL RCV AND THEY WILL SWAP YOU OUT FOR YOUR BROKEN ONE, THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR FROM DRIVING OF COURSE.  THE REAR AXLE (FORD 8.8) WAS BUILT BY EAST COAST GEAR, AND SENT TO ME ON A PALLET, ALL I HAD TO DO WAS INSTALL AND BREAK IN THE GEARS, THERE IS STILL ABOUT 4 YEARS PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY ON THE AXLE,  I HAVE TO RECEIPT I CAN SHOW YOU AND OF COURSE GIVE YOU WITH YOUR PURCHASE OF THE JEEP.  I BELIEVE THE AXLE COST ME ABOUT $3300 OR $3400 AFTER TAX, I WILL HAVE TO LOOK THAT UP TO BE SURE.  TRANSFER CASE FLUID WAS CHANGED ABOUT 15K MILES AGO, TRANSFER CASE HAS A JB CONVERSIONS SUPER SHORT SYE, FOR BETTER DRIVE LINE ANGLES.  TRANSMISSION IS LIKE A NEW ONE.  THE OLD ONE WENT OUT ON ME DUE TO WELL, BEING OLD AND HEAT I BELIEVE.  THE NEW ONE CAME OUT OF A 04 JEEP TJ, WITH ABOUT 40K MILES ON IT.  THE TRANS GO SHIFT KIT WAS INSTALLED AND THE TEMP SENSOR WAS INSTALLED IN THE PAN WHEN THE TRANS SWAP WAS DONE.  WITH THE LARGE TRANS COOLER I INSTALLED THIS TRANSMISSION SHOULD HAVE A LONG LONG LIFE.  IT STAYS VERY COOL AND HAS A DIGITAL GAUGE INSTALLED IN THE CAB LIKE I SAID UP TOP.  I USED ROYAL PURPLE FLUID IN THE TRANSMISSION TO HELP TO STAY EVEN COOLER AND HAVE LONG LIFE.  SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID FOR ABOUT ANOTHER 50K TO 60K MILES.  I HAPPEN TO BE A BIG FAN OF LUCAS AND ROYAL PURPLE, AND THAT IS PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY THING RUN IN MY JEEP.  BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVE SHAFTS CAME FROM TOM WOODS DRIVE-SHAFT, AND I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR BOTH.  THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT HAD TO BE EITHER BE SHORTENED OR REPLACED WHEN I INSTALLED THE FRONT DANA 44, SO I WENT AHEAD AND BOUGHT A NEW ONE FOR THE EXTRA $150. THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE MUFFLER HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE CLEARANCE ISSUE WITH THE SKID PLATES.  TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT UPGRADE, SOUNDS GREAT AND GAVE A BIT BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE.

I know there is more missing as well. I have all the receipts for the upgrades mods and warranties. All was done by me, moab offroad or mccormick motorsports, all well know service centers for jeeps.
Everything works but the speedometer, which really didn't work when it did work if u follow me. I am a perfectionist when it comes to servicing this jeep, the only reason im selling is because i wanna go back to driving fast cars.  THIS JEEP WAS STOCK UP UNTIL ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, I HAVE DONE ALL UPGRADES SINCE THEN!!

VW, Jeep and Cadillac top list of most-tattooed car brands

Tue, Oct 6 2020

Most car enthusiasts own at least one piece of gear with their favorite brand's logo on it. It can be a T-shirt, a pen, a hat, or a garage sign, for example. It takes a much greater degree of dedication to get a car-themed tattoo, and a study suggests this sky-scraping level of obsession is most often found in Volkswagen, Jeep, and Cadillac fans. Compare the Market analyzed Instagram hashtags and posts to compile a list of the most commonly tattooed brands. Volkswagen came out on top, with 5,507 posts; note that anything related to the Wolfsburg-based brand earns it a point, whether it's a logo, a cutaway diagram of the Beetle's air-cooled flat-four engine, or a Touareg V10's firing order. Jeep finished second with 2,139 posts, followed by Cadillac at 1,775 posts. Surprisingly, the fourth spot is occupied by Pontiac, which appeared in 1,609 posts in spite of the fact that it hasn't built a car since 2010. Holden appears near the very bottom of the top-20 chart, ahead of Lamborghini, and its result might be influenced by the fact that General Motors announced plans to shutter it earlier in 2020. BMW and Mercedes-Benz are in sixth and 12th place, respectively. Alfa Romeo doesn't appear in the top 20, though its decades-old Quadrifoglio logo (pictured) can easily be mistaken for a symbol of Irish luck. Searching for posts that show a tattoo of a specific model uncovered even bigger surprises. According to the same study, the most-tattoed nameplate is the Chevrolet Impala, which appears in 823 posts. Odds are the earlier generations, like Dr. Dre's famous six-four, are more often tattooed than the final-generation model, which unceremoniously went out of production in February 2020 without a direct replacement waiting in the wings. Second place goes to the DeLorean DMC-12, which has transcended its status as an esoteric fiasco on wheels thanks to its role as a time machine in "Back to the Future." It appeared in 800 posts. Chevrolet's Corvette takes a distant third with 180 posts, followed by the Volkswagen Beetle (147 posts) and the Mini Cooper (116 posts). All told, car-themed tattoos are relatively rare. To put some of the aforementioned numbers into context, searching Instagram for the hashtag Volkswagen yields over 15 million posts, while the hashtag tattoo appears in over three million publications. Stellantis is official: FCA and PSA merger finally sealed

Sat, Jan 16 2021

MILAN — Fiat Chrysler and PSA sealed their long-awaited merger on Saturday to create Stellantis, the world's fourth-largest auto group with deep enough pockets to fund the shift to electric driving and take on bigger rivals Toyota and Volkswagen. It took over a year for the Italian-American and French automakers to finalize the $52 billion deal, during which the global economy was upended by the COVID-19 pandemic. They first announced plans to merge in October 2019, to create a group with annual sales of around 8.1 million vehicles. "The merger between Peugeot S.A. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. that will lead the path to the creation of Stellantis N.V. became effective today," the two automakers said in a statement. Shares in Stellantis, which will be headed by current PSA Chief Executive Carlos Tavares, will start trading in Milan and Paris on Monday, and in New York on Tuesday. Now analysts and investors are turning their focus to how Tavares plans to address the huge challenges facing the group – from excess production capacity to a woeful performance in China. Tavares will hold his first press conference as Stellantis CEO on Tuesday, after ringing NYSE's bell with Chairman John Elkann. FCA and PSA have said Stellantis can cut annual costs by over 5 billion euros ($6.1 billion) without plant closures, and investors will be keen for more details on how it will do this. Marco Santino, a partner at consultants Oliver Wyman, said he expected Tavares to disclose the outlines of his action plan soon, but without divulging too many details at first. "He has proven to be the kind of person who prefers action to words, so I don't think he will make loud statements or try to over-sell targets," he said. Like all global automakers, Stellantis needs to invest billions in the years ahead to transform its vehicle range for the electric era. But other pressing tasks loom, including reviving the group's lagging fortunes in China, rationalizing its huge global empire and addressing massive overcapacity. "It will be a step by step process, also to allow the market to better appreciate every single move. I don't think we will have all the details before one year," Santino said.

Fiat Chrysler dumped 40,000 unordered vehicles on dealers

Thu, Nov 14 2019

In a move that echoes recent history, Fiat Chrysler has been making more cars and trucks than dealers in the U.S. are willing to accept, with Bloomberg reporting that at one point the automaker had built up a glut of around 40,000 unordered vehicles. That’s led some dealers to accuse FCA of reviving the dreaded “sales bank” accounting practice of obscuring inventory to improve the balance sheet. The company reportedly began building up its inventory of unordered cars this summer despite an industrywide slowdown in sales and an eagerness by some dealers to thin their inventories because rising interest rates are making it more expensive to hold unsold cars. The inventory build-up also coincided with Fiat ChryslerÂ’s efforts to find a merger partner, first with Renault, which fell through, then last monthÂ’s announcement that it will merge with FranceÂ’s PSA Group. FCA denies any such scheme and tells Bloomberg the rising inventory is down to a new predictive analytics system designed to better square supply with demand from dealers that is helping the company save money and narrow the numbers of unsold vehicles. The company recently agreed to pay a $40 million civil penalty to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to settle a complaint that it paid dealers to report fake sales figures over a span of five years. While no one is suggesting that FCA is in dire financial straits — the company saw higher than expected earnings in the third quarter and record profits in North America — the practice has strong historical precedent by Chrysler, which built up bloated inventories in the run-up to its two federal bailouts, in 1980 and 2009. It was also common at GM and Ford during the 2000s, when all three Detroit automakers struggled with excess manufacturing capacity and plummeting sales in the lead-up to the Great Recession. Back in 2012, CFO Magazine wrote about a report that explained automakersÂ’ rationale for the practice and how it works: Say fixed costs for a given factory are $100, and that the factory can make 50 cars. Consumers, however, demand only 10. Under absorption costing, if the company makes all 50 cars, its cost-per-car is $2. If it makes only up to demand, or 10 cars, the cost-per-car is $10. Although each car adds variable costs for steel and other parts, if those costs are low, the company still has an incentive to make more cars to keep the cost-per-car down.
