works great, we've had a lot of fun in this Jeep. I drive it to work
when the weather is nice, but it hasn't been a daily driver. I bought
this less than a year ago and have done a lot of work to it, but decided
its time to upgrade to a new Jeep. Chassis and interior floor have been sandblasted and painted black. I have all the carpet. It might need some paint, but it is solid and runs well on or off road. No top, but I do have the full doors. Transmission grinds a little in lower gears. New this year: Clutch Slave Cylinder 31x10.5x15 Mud Claw tires have about 1000 miles on them Water Pump, Radiator, upper & lower radiator hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing Alternator Power Steering Pump Fuel Sending Unit, and cleaned gas tank while we had it off. Also replaced gas tank skid plate Wet Okole custom neoprene seat covers Midland 1001LWX 40 Channel Mobile CB, Firestik 3’ Tunable CB Antenna with Teraflex antenna mount. Kicker 4x6 speakers in dash, Rockford Fosgate 6x9 speakers in sound wedges in the rear 9500lb Badlands Winch with wireless remote control Spyder Rock Crawler Front Bumper (I have the factory bumper and a winch plate if you prefer that look) Spyder Rock Crawler Rear Bumper with Swing Away Tire Carrier (I also have the stock bumperettes) If you buy this, I need it paid for and picked up by August 5. I've set the reserve at what I think is reasonable considering all the work done to it recently. |

Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014
Wed, 03 Jul 2013We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.
Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
