PLEASE NOTE: There seems to be some confusion as to what model Jeep Liberty this is. This is a Limited Edition with two-tone paint. It is not a Sport edition. The Sport edition has matte gray plastic around the wheels & bumpers; the two tone Limited Edition has shiny gray around the wheels and bumper. The model can easily be verified with the VIN.

2006 Jeep Liberty available, Kelley Blue Book value $10,504 - $10,879. This is a one owner vehicle - I purchased it new in 2006 and am now selling it because I bought a new car.

Very good to excellent condition for its age. Interior in great shape, has been shampooed frequently. Brakes have been replaced, as have all window regulators. Some brake calipers have also been replaced. There are a handful of very small scratches on the gray wheel surrounds and one shallow scratch in the red paint on the front passenger side that has been touched up by a body shop. (Not noticeable from afar but you can see it up close.)

Runs great and has low mileage. The four wheel drive is excellent for rough conditions and snow.

There are a handful of very small scratches on the gray parts around the wheels. There was one 1/16" wide by 8" long exterior scratch on the front passenger side that I had touched up by a body shop (the slightly different paint color is noticeable on up-close inspection.) There is also a small amount of what looks like corrosion on the spare tire and also a tiny amount on the regular tires (see pics.) I'm not sure what it is, as it appeared five years ago and has not gotten any worse since then.

Interior is in great shape, as I have had it shampooed regularly. All the floor mats are still there (though not shown in the picture).

The window regulators have been replaced (they are one of the parts that most often fails on the Jeep.) The brakes have also been replaced, as well as some brake calipers (rear passenger side.) No accidents. Up to date on servicing and oil changes. I can help facilitate an independent inspection.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.

Maker Insists Feds Overstate Risk Of Fires With Grand Cherokee, Liberty Models
It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.

Jeep fans in Australia are none too happy with the off-road brand following a contest that saw ten new Cherokees sold for just $10,000 Australian (about $9,400), roughly a quarter of the vehicle's price Down Under.
The contest, called the "World's Most Remote Dealership," gave Aussies the chance to snag an ultra-affordable Cherokee Longitude (analogous to the US-spec Latitude trim), provided they could get to a secret dealership in the remote wilderness of western New South Wales, near the border with the state of South Australia.
In order to get the exact location of the dealership, though, potential customers needed to download an app, which would release a phone number 9:00 AM AEST on Thursday (7:00 PM EDT, Wednesday night). The first ten people who could call in and prove they could afford to finance $10,000 and get to the remote dealership, were given the location of the remote dealership.
