Selling my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Black with Grey/Brown Leather Interior. This Jeep is in immaculate condition, I have owned the last 4 years, no accidents. I have had oil changed every 3000 miles, I just had new ceramic brakes (pads and rotors) installed on all 4 tires, tires are less than 6 months, I have a new Key Fob, brand new full size spare tire with matching chrome wheel. This has every available option for this year. Very clean vehicle, always garage kept. 64,500 MILES!!! The pictures are from 4 months ago, I took them and decided not to sell, the Jeep is in the exact same pristine condition. I would take new pictures, but weather is currently preventing it. In the pictures that is my kayak rack on top. I have had all check ups performed on the Jeep from Landmark Automotive here in Springfield, IL. In December I had the heater blend doors replaced, the last 2 Cherokee's I have owned needed the blend doors replaced. At the same time I had them go ahead and replace the evaporator for the air conditioner this is another part with Cherokee's that have a tendency to go bad, and they also replace the front differential mounting bracket. My total cost was $1556.12 I have receipt and full print out of work preformed. My Jeep is 100% no dents, the paint is perfect, the interior is extremely good as well. Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.
Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014
Wed, 03 Jul 2013We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.
