Selling my white 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

It is the fully loaded option for that year of Jeep with leather heated seats, navigation system, 6 CD changer, Boston Acoustics speaker system, and rear DVD entertainment system. All of those options work fine, and they have been tested many times. The only problem with this is that I don't have the DVD system remote control. I've always just loaded the DVDs manually with the control console in the back seat when kids ride in the car. The DVD system plays sound through all the speakers in the car and works fantastic! The sunroof is in great shape, and it opens and closes smoothly with no problems. I've used the garage door openers in the factory system too. They are very convenient!

The engine is the 5.7 Hemi with plenty of power with a recent tune up of spark plugs, wires, filters, etc. It has 117k miles on it, but most of the miles I've put on it have been highway miles going back and forth to school.

The car runs and drives well with no mechanical problems. I am merely selling to downsize to a more compact vehicle that better fits my needs.

Tires are brand new earlier this year, and it has a full size spare with all the jack parts in the back of the Jeep. There is a sensor light on for one of the tires air pressure, but my tire gauge reads proper specifications. I think the sensor just needs to be replaced.

There are Husky hard plastic floor mats for the front seats and rear cab. They are fantastic floor mats that can take a beating if you take this off roading or use it for a work vehicle!

I have an auxiliary cable to run an iPod/iPhone (4) through the DVD system as well. I use that in order to play my ipod in the car while driving.

There is an engine light on, and the code points to the catalytic converters. They are no longer on the car. However, all 4 oxygen sensors have been replaced, and it doesn't hinder the car's drivability in any way. It would only be a problem if you have to pass an emissions test.

This was a great car, and it never left me stranded! Sad to see it go, but trying to pay off student loans so I decided to sell it.

Message with any questions, and they will be answered promptly.

Chrysler readying 20 Moparized vehicles for SEMA

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The Las Vegas Convention Center has plenty of space for aftermarket companies and automakers to show off their wares, and it looks like Chrysler is taking advantage of the spacious floor plan. At next month's SEMA Show, Chrysler will have a full 20 cars from its six brands decked out with Mopar gear.
As a hint of what is to come, Chrysler released a handful of teaser sketches showing glimpses of modified Jeep Cherokee, Ram 1500, Fiat 500L and Chrysler 300 concept vehicles. The automaker will also use the venue to show off a new line of Jeep Performance Parts offered by the all-new Mopar Off-Road Division. In addition to the images, Chrysler also issued a brief press release - posted below - breaking down some of the "industry-first features" that Mopar has offered in recent years.

NHTSA closes probes on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey

Wed, 09 Jan 2013

The Detroit News reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially closed its investigations into 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2004-2005 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey models. The separate probes found no issues that pose safety concerns. NHTSA began investigating certain Grand Cherokee SUVs over complaints that power steering hoses could detach during operation, thereby increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. Of the 24 reports of failure, none alleged smoke or fire in the engine bay, and Chrysler has since modified the power steering cooler assembly to reduce the likelihood of the failure.
Meanwhile, certain Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles garnered a government probe after receiving complaints that the models were equipped with faulty scissor jacks. The agency had received six reports of the jacks failing or causing injuries, including one incident that resulted in a fatality. But NHTSA says the jack failure rate is similar to those found in other vehicles. In those six cases, the government agency found the jacks were being used for something other than changing a tire, and investigators could not determine whether the emergency brake was set or the rear tires were properly chocked.

Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
