For sale is a Grand Cherokee that drives as good as New. This is one of the cleanest 6 cylinders you will find in the market.  I bought this vehicle locally from a Jeep dealer. It was sold with all services completed including a fresh change of oil for Engine, Transmission & Transfer case. The Cooling system was serviced by me a couple of weeks back. I also put in a Brand New Water Pump, Serpentine Belt & Thermostat. The tires are all even with 80% tread remaining. The air conditioning blows cold air and heater blows hot air as it should. There are NO check engine lights on. The vehicle is pretty much set to serve for a very long time trouble free. On top of all this the engine is a 6 cylinder that never fails, I personally looked at almost 10 Jeeps before settling on this one. The main reason I am selling this jeep is that my son for whom I bought it is not comfortable driving a SUV and wants a car. After getting the vehicle to a perfect one I am forced to sell it as he does not drive it. The vehicle exterior is free of rust all round except 1 over the rear passenger side above the tire that is pictured, it's the size of slightly bigger than a quarter that is just on the outer paint not penetrated into the body yet. Do not be fooled by the 172k miles on the speedometer, if you drive the vehicle you will definitely say it's not even 90k miles vehicle. The jeep comes with a Towing package. There is a small bump on the rear bumper that was caused by a car that backed up, all it needs is a little push from inside to set it right. I have it listed locally and might pull the listing if it's sold locally. If you live in and around the Detroit area you can always come over and test drive the vehicle, you will see and understand what I have been telling about the vehicle.

Chrysler taking big risk snubbing NHTSA

Maker Insists Feds Overstate Risk Of Fires With Grand Cherokee, Liberty Models
It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.

Chrysler highlights Mopar lineup for SEMA

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

SEMA is all about aftermarket parts, and in Auburn Hills that all comes down to one name: Mopar. After having previewed its lineup for this year's Vegas tuner expo earlier this month, Chrysler has now revealed what may not quite be its full dossier of modified show cars, but a good portion of them.
All told Mopar is preparing 20 vehicles for display at SEMA this year. Among them you'll find the Ram Sun Chaser, a 1500 Quad Cab show truck kitted out in two-tone orange and black paint, a roof rack for surfboards, onboard shower and convertible tailgate. The white Fiat 500L is called the Adventurer and is modified for a more rugged look that could hint at the upcoming crossover version. The Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver upgrades on the Trailhawk package with everything from roof basket to rock rails. To counterbalance the off-roaders, there's also a modified Chrysler 300S with a deep black paint job, special grille, Varvatos-edition wheels and more.
All four concepts details so far have Katzkin interiors as well, and there's also an unspecified Dodge Durango with a storm-trooper look in the gallery above. But for more details on what Mopar has installed on the Ram, 500L, Cherokee and 300, you'll want to delve into the press release below.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4X4

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Ice skates are spectacular on frozen water, yet they are dreadful everyday footwear. I consider the Jeep Wrangler equally as specialized.
I recently spent a week with a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4X4. Introduced for the 2007 model year, the Wrangler Unlimited is a standard JK two-door with 20.6 inches added to its wheelbase and two additional doors bolted to its passenger compartment. While Jeep offers the Unlimited in seven different trim levels, the desirable Rubicon is the most capable when the pavement ends, as it boasts a slew of hardcore off-road tools including front and rear electronic locking differentials and a front sway bar that can be disengaged at the touch of a button for improved articulation. My I-Look-Like-A-Traffic-Cone test model started with a base price of $34,095 (plus $995 destination). Options including a five-speed automatic transmission, Uconnect, tow package and a premium soft top, drove the bottom line up to $38,630.
