Red Oak, Texas, United States

Thank You For taking time to read my listing

I am sure you can see it is not the prettiest thing, but the value is under the hood!  It has a V8 that is finely tuned and running great!  Has a new Battery, new water pump, New radiator, New Fan shroud.   We did all those things so that we could enjoy it with some Off Roading & 4 Wheelin!

If you need a vehicle that serves a purpose in Recreation, Off Roading, or as a work tool on the Farm, Ranch, or Hunting lease, this will do that job fine.  As it sits, it is not street legal.  If you want to take this on as a project to make it street legal again, it could be done.  Just the things that I can think of that would be needed to make it street legal:  Windshield Wiper arms, re wire signal lights, a horn, & seat belts.

Tires appear to have dry rot and probably need replaced whatever the application.

This is  NO RESERVE Auction.
I don't know what the market will bring, but it does not matter, I need some money now.
What it sells for is what it sells for!

If I get it sold and the buyer gets a bargain, then we will both be happy.

Feel free to send any questions, I will answer you promptly.

for shipping
Do your research and find out how much it will cost to get it to you.  If you do it right and plan it so that shipper is needing to fill space on his truck, you may find a bargain.

On Jan-23-14 at 19:31:18 PST, seller added the following information:

Clear Texas Title

Engine Runs Perfectly
Transmission and Clutch operate Perfectly
4 Wheel Drive works Perfectly
This Jeep Runs and drives Great.
It is Completely Functional
Turn the key & hold on!

However, It is currently only an Off Road machine.
It has tail lights, but they are not hooked up.
Wires are rolled up and tucked under fender.

Turn signal lever was unscrewed from steering column.
There is no horn button on the steering wheel
The windshield wiper arms have been removed.

If you are looking for highway transportation,
this is not for you unless you are planning to restore all those functions.

I imagine that this will be a working tool for a Rancher or Farmer.
Or a Toy for an Off Road enthusiast.

Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.

Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.
