Here is a rare collector grade find. A completely original paint (AMC Firecracker Red) and decaled (Levi tan) Jeep CJ Renegade. This Jeep is the LAST YEAR for the Levi Renegade package and it maintains all of its original features.  This Jeep has not been restored and has not been repainted.  If you are looking for an original collector Jeep, look no further, and purchase with confidence.  I have been a Jeep collector for 20+ years.  This Jeep is one of the nicest and most optioned/original Renegade's I have come across.  The Jeep has just over 50k original miles and you can still listen to the original AM factory radio.  This particular Renegade has the factory/dealer optioned Ramsey... winch still works.  There is absolutely no rust or rot on this vehicle. If your looking for an original AMC era Jeep, this is it. This is truly a Jeep enthusiasts and automobile collector's masterpiece. In the CJ Jeep world, these are not found often! It has a very rare combination of the desirable 304 V8 with an automatic/quadra-trac transmission.  This vehicle was special ordered for a retired attorney in Idaho.  I purchased the Jeep from the adult son of a family friend.  The Jeep has a neat history, so feel free to call and inquire about it.  This color combination is considered very desirable.  The American Motor Company actually used this color scheme in an advertisements like the one pictured below. The attached pictures speak for themselves; however, if you would like to request others, feel free to call.

The vehicle shifts and drives very smooth. It drives STRAIGHT down the interstate at 70 MPH.  Again, this is a great driving Jeep that ANYONE can enjoy.  The decals/paint are original and have GREAT PATINA! The frame is straight and there are are no signs of damage or repairs.  The frame and tub is in EXCELLENT condition (see pictures).   You will look long and hard to find another cleaner, more original, Jeep CJ in existence!  Both sets of wheels will be included if the "Buy it Now" price is met.  Please, Call seller before making an offer through EBAY.

Please call if you have ANY questions or would like to make an offer.

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.

Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler wants mountains, not a stage

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We've said it before and we'll say it again - while we usually grow tired of the endless barrage of special edition vehicles, that isn't the case with the Jeep Wrangler. Every unique model we encounter seems cooler than the one before it, and this Willys Wheeler Edition is no exception.
The Willys Wheeler package is sort of a throwback to early Jeep CJ models, and wears "Willys" stickers on the hood. There's also a gloss black grille, rock rails to protect the side sills, and unique 17-inch black wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires. For proper off-road prowess, this special edition uses a Dana 44 rear axle with a limited-slip differential and a 3.73 final drive ratio.
Look for the Willys edition to hit dealerships early next year, starting at $25,795 for the two-door version and $29,595 for the four-door. Feel free to read all about it in the press release below.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets surprisingly comprehensive update, new diesel power

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Traditionally, automotive journalists can be heard muttering something to the effect of "Geeze, it's about time!" whenever a vehicle's midcycle refresh is revealed. As we routinely see and drive new models many months before the public even claps eyes on them in showrooms - and then go on to tweeze apart their minutia in our daily writings - perhaps some impatience is to be expected. With so much exposure to a given vehicle, it's fair to say we tire of most cars and trucks far more quickly than the average consumer.
The alterations are handsome, if not subtle touches from the "If It Ain't Broke" school of design.
Which is why we're pleased to say "Oh, is it time for that already?" when it comes to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The current WK2 Grand Cherokee hit the market in 2011 and climbed its way into our hearts with its rugged good looks, go-anywhere capability and surprising refinement. We're not yet tired of its appearance or performance, but even so, we're very glad to see Chrysler giving its flagship Jeep some attention, including a much-anticipated diesel powertrain option and some other economy-minded measures.
