1989 was the year before Jaguar was acquired by Ford. In 1989, less than 2500 of these convertibles were built and shipped world-wide.
This car had spent it's life down South, I found her south of Gettysburg. This car was well taken care of by all it's owners; this is a very clean car, and from what a couple of mechanics told me...it still has it's original paint. Fun to drive and the transmission shifts well; and as you've heard...a real head turner. I've been told several times, "Now this is a real Jaguar!". I see no dents on this car. I have replaced the rear rotors and brake pads. There are 4 new Pirelli tires mounted on "Sports Edition" wheels(only 17 miles on the tires). I also have the original manuals. The original cassette player has been switched out for a CD player/radio, but I have the original and it will go with the car. The original Pirelli spare tire and wheel have not moved from the trunk since 1989. I'm selling this car so I can buy another one. The mileage photo is not correct; the car now shows 49,618 miles. Petrolicious profiles one of the final Jaguar E-Types
Wed, 10 Apr 2013There's no question that David Paddison has got a very lovely 1974 Jaguar E-Type convertible. The rubber bumpers of this late E-Type may distract ever so slightly from the purity of the lines, but that doesn't mean we're still not completely jealous of the latest Petrolicious subject car.
As usual, the team of vintage car videographers has done a fine job capturing a small moment of gear-headness with this latest installment - The Last of the Breed. We do wonder why we don't get to hear a little bit more of that famed Jaguar V12 rumble, however. There's just a whiff of engine and exhaust sound in the middle of the video, while the rest of the piece sounds like it was scored by Amy Grant's rhythm guitarist. See for yourself, below.

Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.

An alleged US order guide for the 2014 Jaguar F-Type has made its way online courtesy of the good people at F-TypeClub.com, documenting everything from wheel color options to special equipment packages. From the looks of things, buyers will be able to choose from a total of eight wheel designs in sizes ranging from 18 inches on the base model all the way up to 20 inches. While most of those rollers are available in either silver or black finishes, the 20-inch blade-style wheels are not only forged, but come with carbon-fiber trim. Fancy.
Depending on trim, F-Type buyers will get to choose between two types of seat, including a set of performance-style 14-way power adjustable thrones, complete with seat belts in black, red or tan. Other fun tricks include available power folding side view mirrors and a 770-watt, 14-speaker Meridian sound system.
