This is one of the best examples of the marque. Fully optioned including the wing, a hard to find white over tan hydes with chocolate piping and only two owners with moderate usage and mileage. One of only two years for the powerful and smooth 6L V12. Excellent care, garage kept with previous records. She also has the original owner's manual, tools, both working remotes and the top boot. Interior is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or loose stitching. She is original with the exception of an after market cd radio which was professionally installed and a trickle charger wired into the battery. Everything works with the exception of the driver's seat heater switch and the lumbar bladders. The pumps run, but the seats will not inflate. I use neither and as they are poorly engineered, are not worth fixing unless you are a purest. Top is in like new condition and functions properly meaning the rear windows go up and down as they should. Wheels are in very good condition, no curb rash and little wear. Tires are in good condition also. The driver's seat has some minor wear and the mats are faded, but not worn. They are original, so I have not replaced them.

She runs smooth and quiet and I have done triple digits with no effort. I have owned three of these and if you do not allow them to achieve full potential occasionally, you are treating a thoroughbred like a plow horse. I would not hesitate to drive across country as she is that reliable, but would refrain from unnecessary accumulation of mileage as 6L's are becoming increasingly more difficult to acquire.

Motor Trend pits Aston V12 Vantage S against Jaguar XKR-S GT in battle of the Brits

With the recent increase in higher-performance versions of already high-performance vehicles, like Mercedes-Benz and its AMG Black Series, the public is now gaining even greater access to speed and maneuverability. Two of the most recent sports cars to get their wicks turned up include the Jaguar XKR-S GT and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.
Both of these cars are the pinnacles of their lines, with the Jag lording over the XKR-S, XKR and XK while the Aston rules over the standard V8 Vantage S and V8 Vantage. Motor Trend has opted to pit the two rivals together for some thorough testing, and it just happened to bring along a few video cameras to capture all the action.

Jaguar reveals upcoming XE's InControl infotainment system [w/video]

Jaguar has been keeping busy lately, rolling out both the new Lightweight E-Type and F-Type Project 7 at Pebble Beach this past weekend. But the more important project for the British automaker is the upcoming new XE.
Coventry has been releasing a steady stream of information and teasers on its new 3 Series challenger, and has now revealed details of the new infotainment system that will debut in the XE. Called InControl, the system centers around an eight-inch touchscreen and integrates with smartphones (running both iOS and Android) through the InControl Remote and InControl Apps. The system will allow drivers to pre-set the climate control for each day of the week, lock and unlock the doors and start the engine remotely.
It'll also include an on-board wifi hotspot to connect multiple devices and a laser-based head-up display that you can scope out in the graphic above as well as the video and press release below in advance of the XE's upcoming debut in London on September 8.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe spotted testing

The automotive world has been hot on fire with the Jaguar F-Type of late. We're still recovering from the excitement of driving Jaguar's new sports car for the first time, and recently we had a predictive look at a coupe version. As it turns out, those 'patent sketches' were just a warm up for the real deal F-Type Coupe, as this brand new set of spy images proves out.
Word from our shooter is that security around the F coupe was and is really tight. The photographer had to hide in the cargo area of his clandestine SUV, just to catch these few, not-perfectly-clear images (that odd color your see is window tint). Still, the photos are good enough to see that the rakish silhouette of the hardtop is going to do justice to the convertible. In fact, the new top seems to flow quite perfectly into the car's rear haunches.
Expect that the F-Type Coupe will share an engine lineup with the roadster, meaning both a naturally aspirated and a supercharged V6, as well as a V8 option. Hot R and R-S versions of the Jaguar coupe are a virtual lock, too, though how far down the product pipeline they are is unclear.
