1999 - Jaguar Xj8 on 2040-cars

I am the second owner of this late 1999 Jaguar XJ8.The paint is original and in fantastic shape.There is a thumb sized area on the front bumper that has been touched up as well as a 2 inch scratch next to it.The rear bumper has a silver dollar sized faded spot as well.There has been no bodywork done on this car.The interior is near flawless,no cracking or fading of the leather(most Jags of this era have some wear on the drivers seat,but these had covers for most of thier lives)The carpets are as new and the burl wood is stunning.Only Rolls and Bentley can match this level of interior craftmanship.The key fob will not unlock the doors(but the locks and alarm work perfectly)The day/night mirror function doe not work properly.This interior shows almost zero wear at all..This Jag is from the Ford Era,it starts,stops,shifts,steers and goes down the road as a proper Jag should(that is silently powerfully and like new)the ac blows ice cold and there no leaks whatsoever.This is a low mile original car that was babied.

Jaguar C-X17 crossover concept revealed, hides new lightweight aluminum architecture
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Just as Jaguar teased earlier this month, the luxury marque is debuting its first-ever sports crossover concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which begins this week. In addition to previewing what a soft-roading Jag might look like, the C-X17 concept also showcases the brand's new advanced unibody aluminum architecture, which it calls the future of its brand.
The British automaker touts the new technical foundation as high-strength, lightweight and extremely stiff, and notes that it incorporates sustainable technologies such as a high-strength alloy made from recycled raw material. The architecture's flexibility means Jaguar will be able to simultaneously manufacture several vehicles on the same production line - a change that will ultimately help the automaker grow its product portfolio.
Indeed, if the C-X17 concept sees production, it would represent a completely new direction for Jaguar, which has previously focused on luxury sedans and sports cars. However, while Jaguar says a range of future models will be built using the new architecture, it hasn't yet mentioned a crossover. The first model to be built on the new underpinnings will launch globally in 2015, and it's - you guessed it - a premium midsize sedan.
Jaguar F-Type coupe to cost more than convertible?
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Jaguar may price the much-rumored F-Type Coupe above the F-Type Convertible, if a report from Australia's Drive is to be believed. What makes Jag think that such a pricing strategy would work? Porsche. Take a look at the German manufacturer's consumer site, and you'll notice that the Boxster is less expensive than the Cayman, despite being essentially the same car.
It's a fair point, and a price premium does a good job of emphasizing the sporting chops of the coupe over the open-air experience that normally entitles convertibles to higher MSRPs. It's unclear just how closely Jaguar will follow Porsche's example, though.
Both the Cayman and Cayman S boast an extra ten horsepower over a Boxster or Boxster S, and while this bump in grunt is negligible in every situation but an argument over which is "best," it isn't something to be ignored in the F-Type, particularly as cranking more power out of its supercharged engines should be a rather simple matter.

An alleged US order guide for the 2014 Jaguar F-Type has made its way online courtesy of the good people at F-TypeClub.com, documenting everything from wheel color options to special equipment packages. From the looks of things, buyers will be able to choose from a total of eight wheel designs in sizes ranging from 18 inches on the base model all the way up to 20 inches. While most of those rollers are available in either silver or black finishes, the 20-inch blade-style wheels are not only forged, but come with carbon-fiber trim. Fancy.
Depending on trim, F-Type buyers will get to choose between two types of seat, including a set of performance-style 14-way power adjustable thrones, complete with seat belts in black, red or tan. Other fun tricks include available power folding side view mirrors and a 770-watt, 14-speaker Meridian sound system.
