More infos regarding my cat at: jeffrykuker@gmx.com . 1962 Jaguar E-type, XKE, Series 1, Fixed Head Coupe, Flat Floor, with aluminum dash & console.
Factory original color "Carmen Red" on Tan leather with a 3.8L DOHC triple carb engine.
The Jaguar was previously owned by an Airline Pilot for 27 years who had hobby interests in both vintage planes and
sports cars. This car has been stored in his private airplane hangar for the last 15 years of ownership, I have
included pictures as found in the hangar.
The XKE was bought new in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and has resided in Toronto (and surrounding area) for its entire
life, being a Toronto car it has suffered from the usual floor plan, rocker panel & spare wheel well rot. The
driver's floor has had an amateur repair done, and the passenger side for the most part is original but with a
small patch riveted in. The body has had body work done over the years and there is plenty of 'filler' in several
areas of the body. The bonnet shows ripples near the beading strips on both sides and is generally wavy due to poor
workmanship.
The Jag has received two respray's, one in white during the early 80's and another in the early 90's in a shade of
red close to the factory original color. During the 80's refurbishment of the interior was done. The seats were
recovered in a burgundy leather along with the door and rear deck side panels. The headliner, console, and side
cargo panels were re-covered in a burgundy velour.... very popular at the time, as many new cars were finished in
velour.
The exterior paint was OK when done, but has suffered from amateur bondo patch work and paint blow-in from a rattle
can.
Mechanically it is in non-running condition, but the engine does turn freely. It is a non-matching numbers car, but
does have a 3.8L Jaguar engine. The triple carburetors are long gone, and have been replaced with a twin SU carb
conversion, the rest of the running gear is original to the car. The brake and clutch hydraulics are not functional
but the vehicle does roll easily and the gearbox can be shifted through all the gears.... the car steers as it
should.

Motor Trend pits Aston V12 Vantage S against Jaguar XKR-S GT in battle of the Brits

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

With the recent increase in higher-performance versions of already high-performance vehicles, like Mercedes-Benz and its AMG Black Series, the public is now gaining even greater access to speed and maneuverability. Two of the most recent sports cars to get their wicks turned up include the Jaguar XKR-S GT and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.
Both of these cars are the pinnacles of their lines, with the Jag lording over the XKR-S, XKR and XK while the Aston rules over the standard V8 Vantage S and V8 Vantage. Motor Trend has opted to pit the two rivals together for some thorough testing, and it just happened to bring along a few video cameras to capture all the action.
There's nearly 19 minutes of super hot sports car action below, so scroll down and enjoy.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.

Jaguar XE hits the 'Ring wearing swirly camo

Wed, 21 May 2014

Jaguar is happy to show off its new XE sedan on its social media sites, but when testing at the Nürburgring, it's a very different story. These spy shots show the new model in camouflage to make it much harder to discern, but there are still some intriguing details to pick out.
These photos give us a really good look at the XE's quirky rear end. The sedan has a super short trunk that almost fools you into thinking its a notchback, but the top edge of the trunk is clearly visible. It's a somewhat odd-looking design with the rear glass running underneath the roof's overhang to create an integrated spoiler. Despite the camo, the front end is the same as ever with a blunt edge and sharp headlights. Jag certainly isn't afraid to try something a little different compared to the XE's competitors, notably the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
Some technical details about the XE are already established. This 3 Series-fighter is slated to go on sale in foreign markets in 2015 and in the US in 2016. We know that it ride's on Jag's new aluminum platform that also underpins the C-X17 crossover concept, and power comes from a pair of 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines, available in petrol- or diesel-fueled configurations.
