2002 Hummer H1 Open Top (soft top)

Complete overhaul completed November 2013.
Includes:
- Removed suspension, cleaned, degreased, painted, etc. Contorl arms and chassis are painted gloss black with an industrial paint for long wear life.
- All suspension and steering parts are new with new hardware
- Powdercoated metal parts that have been removed. This is the proper way to restore a vehicle. Most parts powdercoated black, however the springs, d-rings, and under carriaget proection were powdercoated gun metal greay for a very rich look.
- Truck painted satin black metallic, this is a very uncommon color that looks amazing and is easy to keep clean (black is always hard because it's gloss, but with a satin finish it's amazing the difference). I saw this color on a 2014 Mercedes G63 and they called it "Designo Black" and I had to have it. Matches the wheels and dark grey powdercoated metal very nicely.

During this overhaul we remove the entire drivetrain, cleaned and chassis painted everything, and reinstalled the drivetrain with all new hardware on everything.  You could probably eat off of the bottom of this one!

This Hummer has 17" 2-piece dual beadlock aluminum Hutchinson wheels (these are like $1800/ea + tires).  The softtop is new also.  This is a really nice truck!

Please contact me via email or phone and we can discuss this Hummer.  We specialize in Hummer H1's and have 5 listed for sale currently.  We can recommend some financing options if necessary also. We manufacture Hummer specific accessories such as a steering system upgrade (retrofits the Alpha steering gear onto the 92-04 Hummer frame), air ride suspension, etc.

Ebay's auto history report doesn't seem to be working for this VIN.  I am uploading a copy of the VIN and I can send you a CarFax (just email me).  I am the 2nd owner, the vehicle was purchased at the local dealership here in Denver and the previous owner was near Vail CO.

Out With A Bang: Hummer dealer giving away free shotgun with every new vehicle purchase

Lynch Hummer dealership in Chesterfield, Missouri - Click above for image gallery
You've heard of art imitating life? Well how about life imitating war? That's another story entirely, but not so far fetched when it comes to the Hummer. The sport-'ute that met the public eye during Operation Desert Storm has all but completely gone through its entire life cycle in the intervening years: first as a military-only vehicle, the original model became available to the public, then GM bought the rights and started churning out pickup-based H2s and H3s, the U.S. armed forces went back Iraq, the original H1 was discontinued and now GM is preparing to wind down the brand entirely. But not before one last pistol-shootin' hoorah, courtesy of the one dealership that arguably sees the truck for what it is more than any other: Lynch Hummer.
The St. Louis-area franchise made headlines last year when they started filling their emptying showroom with gun racks, selling firearms to make up for dwindling sales in the gigantic SUVs. Now the dealership is connecting the dots with a one-of-a-kind promotion: Buy a Hummer, get a free shotgun.

MEV rocks up with electric mini Hummer HX

2011 MEV Hummer HX - Click above to watch the video after the jump
The 2008 Hummer HX concept was supposed to be General Motors' answer to the Jeep Wrangler. To put it mildly, that failed to materialize. General Motors killed Hummer as part of its bankruptcy-induced limb severing in 2009, before the HX could be brought to fruition as the H4, as had been rumored.
For those of you who wish the HX had indeed surfaced, we have some excellent news: My Electric Vehicle, or MEV, has appropriated the HX concept, added an electric drivetrain and created the MEV Hummer HX. The MEV HX is a fully electric golf cart resort vehicle, licensed by GM and sporting Hummer wheels and skid plates.

Hummers are for Horses: Artist reimagines the monsterous SUV [w/video]

Horse-drawn Hummer H2 - Click above to view the video after the jump
When the internal combustion engine finally helped the automobile pass the horse-drawn carriage as the chosen method of transportation for a majority of citizens in the United States, that a step in the right direction. Right? Moving forward about a hundred years... when the behemoth Sport Utility Vehicle that never actually seems to venture off the beaten path passed the minivan in the hearts and minds of families across the country as the people-mover of choice, was that a step in the right direction?
If you answered no to either of the above questions, perhaps you'll enjoy the video pasted after the break. Created by artist Jeremy Dean (read about our initial post on the project here), the converted Hummer H2 is called Futurama and is pulled by two white horses named, appropriately enough, Duke and Diesel. Hummers are for horses? See for yourself.
