Clovis, New Mexico, United States

For sale is my 2008 Honda S2000. It is Grand Prix White with red carpet and black seats. I have owned this car since 2010. Mechanically, the car is perfect. It has always been babied and has never seen a track. The car currently has 78,501 miles but is daily driven so this will go up. It has always been a Florida car until very recently and has absolutely zero rust, it has only been in NM for 5 months and is garage kept.
The good:
H&R springs
K&N FPIK intake
ATE Super Blue fluid
has always had Mobile 1 syn oil changed every 7,500k, Royal Purple in the differential, changed every 15,000, and Honda MTF in the transmission changed every 15,000.
The top was replaced summer 2011 at Sarasota Honda in Sarasota, FL
Has an Allen class III hitch (1.25") - a matching Allen 2 bike rack will be included for an additional $50
smoked side markers (OEM Honda)
Iphone/ipod integration into the stock head unit with Lightning adapter.

The bad:
The top has a few small cracks. Nothing is leaking,  i put a dab of Tear-Aid on it to help strengthen it. It still drops and goes back up without a problem.
There is some cosmetic damage on the front and is limited to the bumper, but should be repainted.
There is some small damage on the drivers side fender. It has been corrected and some paint applied to prevent any rust.
The chrome is chipping off the steering wheel center emblem.

I will be glad to answer any questions about this car and know it in and out. I am willing to meet anywhere in the Clovis, NM/Cannon AFB area.

Payment will ONLY be in cash, or cashiers check if we meet at YOUR bank. $1000 deposit will be required within 24 hours of auction closing and may be sent via Pay-Pal, but the remainder must be via cash/cashiers check.

Honda N Box + has incredible versatility as oddly humorous JDM video shows

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

We want the Honda N Box +. Strangely enough, this video spot, shot in Japanese and gushing with production values that are a bit foreign to us, makes us want the little Honda even more. You see, we don't need to know Japanese to see that the kei car's 'universal bridge' feature isn't a gimmick - it actually looks extremely convenient - and that the car's multi-space system takes interior functionality to a new level. We don't require a translator to laugh at the gags in this spot, either, though we won't pretend to understand them idiomatically.
But really, the video is worth a watch, if for no better reasons than to enjoy a confusion-based laugh, and to marvel at the tiny car's extremely efficient use of space. We don't expect the N Box + to be offered for sale anywhere near North America, so to get your kicks, you'll have to head below to watch the commercial.

Honda opening first new motherland plant in almost 50 years

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Despite opening dozens of overseas plants in the past several decades in locations all over the globe, Honda Motor Co. has not expanded its car manufacturing capabilities in its home market of Japan since opening a facility in Sayama back in 1964.
But all of that is set to change this July when Honda opens the doors to a new assembly plant in Yorii, about two hours north of Tokyo. According to Bloomberg, the new facility has a projected annual capacity of 250,000 vehicles. The plant is part of the automaker's reorganization efforts, plans that include scaling back its older Sayama plant and bringing Yorii online with more efficient and innovative technology. There are additional benefits, too, as the Yorii plant is expected to create 3,800 jobs, both on-site and at its suppliers, and boost the local economy as other businesses ramp up to accommodate the influx of new workers.
While the automaker has not released specifics about which models will be produced at Yorii, Honda is expected to consolidate production of models including the Fit, a best-seller in its domestic market.

2015 Honda CR-V performs poorly in Swedish AWD test [w/video]

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Swedish auto magazine Teknikens Värld has never been afraid to call out automakers when a vehicle fails one of its battery of examinations. Its famous Moose Test recently caught the Porsche Macan out, and a few years ago, there was a protracted argument between Teknikens Värld and Jeep over the performance of a Grand Cherokee in that evaluation.
This time, the 2015 Honda CR-V is raising the magazine's hackles, but it has nothing to do with avoiding a giant mammal. Snow is obviously an issue in Sweden, and Teknikens Värld has a test that challenges all-wheel drive systems in low-traction settings. On a slanted surface, the Swedes put the vehicles' front wheels on rollers with no traction and demands the rears accelerate away. The Honda couldn't do it. Teknikens Värld claims that it initially found the same result last year from the European CR-V, but Honda Sweden put out a software upgrade correcting the behavior in the test. This year, the CUV went back to failing.
While that's the magazine's side, Honda Sweden doesn't see the test as fair. In a statement to Teknikens Värld, the company explains the way the CUV's all-wheel drive system works. It also claims that the test isn't simulating a realistic situation. "In real conditions, regardless of the surface, there is a certain amount of friction always available for both front and rear wheels," the announcement says. "A scenario like the roll test with such a high difference in grip between the front and the rear wheels is highly unlikely."
