one of a kind 1994 honda civic del sol. This is a really nice car, lots of time in its attention to detail. The paint job is not perfect but i would describe it as very good. the tires are in good condition and the car runs and drives very good. The car currently has a stock engine with factory working a/c but in the past it has had a built engine that ran nitros. I have the built engine but it spun a bearing and damaged the block but I think the high performance pistons are still good in the old block. i also have the high performance head which the guy that built the motor said cost $2,000.00 for this head alone. I think he said it has graphite valves. I also have a special cumputer for the car that has an exchangeable chip. The chip in the computer was custom built for this car when it had the built engine. The nitros tank is still in the trunk and goes with the car but is not hooked up on the stock engine of course. I also have an extra good block that also goes with the car that you can build another built engine if you wish. This car does have some kind of ceramic racing clutch that works good but is not smooth like a stock clutch. there is no known rust on this car. the interior is custom with racing seats and some large racing seat belts. all the windows including the cool back window rolls down and operates as it should. It also has a nice sterio with a sub speaker that works. the top targa top removes to make this a really cool classic car. I This is a nice reliable car and i dont think a person would have a problem driving this car home a long distance but if you plan on driving this car away i will require that you have a current insurance card from your insurance company on this car with the correct vin number to this car because the tittle is in my name and if you have an accident i am still liable. or you can put it on a trailer your choice.  good luck bidding the winner will be happy with this car. you can call me in the afternoon on this car at 636 464 8294 my name is george.  .

Honda recalling 748k Odyssey and Pilot models over airbag concern

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

American Honda today announced a recall of approximately 748,000 Odyssey and Pilot models due to faulty airbag concerns. The vehicles in question are Odyssey minivans from the 2011 to 2013 model years and Pilot crossovers from the 2009 to 2013 model years.
According to a statement from Honda, driver's side airbags in the affected vehicles were potentially assembled without some of the rivets that secure the bag's plastic cover. Because of this, the airbag may not deploy properly in the event of a crash, leading to further occupant injury. As of this writing, no injuries have been reported in conjunction with this issue.
Honda will begin officially notifying owners via mail in mid-February. The automaker urges customers to take their vehicles to an authorized dealership, where vehicles will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired. In lieu of waiting for the snail mail approach, owners may also visit www.recalls.honda.com or can contact the automaker directly at 1.800.999.1009 and select option four.

Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."
