LOW RESERVE...You are bidding on a very nice and very dependable 2000 honda accord. The car has low mileage at only 114049. This car has been family owned since 2001 and well maintained every 3000 miles.Just recently had oil change, transmission flush, and tune up.The tires on the car are a matching set of firestone tires, like new with 80% to 90% tread left. has a 4 cylinder vtec engine and gets about 30 miles to the gallon. This car is very reliable! I wouldnt be afraid to drive it cross country!! The car is mechanically sound!!! This car does have a few cosmetic flaws. A cheap paint job would cover the scratches and fading paint on the roof, these cars are known for the paint fading over time. I had an estimate for 250 to get the same color paint.The rear bumper has a dent due to me backing into my friends mailbox.(see pics). The srs light is on but just needs to be reset. It was due to a dead battery years ago. I havent bothered to reset because it has no impact on the way its runs or inspection.The interior could use a good detail.There are a few stains and burn holes.Could easily be covered with seat covers.Overall the car is in good condition with a alot of life left. Hondas are known to run forever if maintained right like this one!! This car has been great me i hate to let it go but needed a bigger family vehicle. Honda getting in on the Daytona Prototype racing action
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Racing fans at Sebring are plenty used to seeing Honda powering into the winner's circle, the Japanese motor company having claimed class victories at the endurance race in Florida in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Those were all in the LMP2 category, but with the Twelve Hours of Sebring now part of the combined United SportsCar Championship, Honda is branching out into another class: Daytona Prototypes.
The purpose-built racing machinery that were once part of the Grand-Am series are now racing alongside the LMP2 prototypes from the American Le Mans Series under the united championship. So far Ford and Chevy have signed on to power the Daytona Prototypes, and now Honda's joining their ranks as the only manufacturer to field entries in both categories of the championship's Prototype class.
The competition-spec 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 revealed last month is based on the same J35 engine that powers everything from the Honda Accord to the Acura RLX and MDX. Now it will power the Riley chassis fielded by Starworks Motorsports, competing alongside the pair of Honda Performance Development (HPD) ARX-03b chassis which Extreme Speed Motorsports will campaign under LMP2 regulations, giving Honda a two-pronged, three-car assault on the top class of the new American sports car racing series.

Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
