1997 Gmc Yukon Gt on 2040-cars
Moncks Corner, South Carolina, United States
THESE GT YUKON'S ARE BECOMING MORE RARE EACH YEAR. THIS LOW MILEAGE EXAMPLE IS UNMOLESTED AND IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE AS THEY SAY. THE INTERIOR IS NON-SMOKER AND GREAT SHAPE. THE HEADLINER IS INTACT AND AS NEW AS ARE THE SUNVISORS. THE LEATHER IS SUPPLE AND STILL RETAINS IT SHAPE. THERE ARE TWO SMALL (DIME SIZE) WEAR SPOTS ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND ANOTHER ON THE PASSENGER SEAT. ALL OTHER LEATHER IS GREAT. THERE ARE A FEW COFFEE STAINS ON THE CARPET AND OTHER THAN THAT THE INTERIOR IS GREAT. THE FINISH SHOWS VERY WELL WITH NO THIN SPOTS, PEELING OR RUST. I CHANGED THE UNDAMAGED BLACK BUMPER AND GRILLE TO CHROME BUT THE OEM PARTS WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK. EXHAUST IS STOCK. BRAKES AND MASTER CYLINDER ARE NEW. I RECENTLY HAD NEW MONROE REFLEX SHOCKS PUT ON. THE A/C WAS CHANGED OVER WITH AN ENTIRE NEW SYSTEM AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS TOTALLY REBUILT. I HAVE ALL THE RECEIPTS TO DOCUMENT THESE. THIS TRUCKS RUNS GREAT, SOUNDS GREAT, AND LOOKS GREAT. CHECK OUT THE PICTURES AND PLEASE CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

GM recalling Silverado and Sierra HD diesel pickups over fuel gauge follies
Fri, 03 Jan 2014General Motors is recalling 9,733 of its heavy-duty twins over concerns with their 6.6-liter diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. The recall covers some Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from model years 2012 and 2013, although the exact dates that the recalled trucks were built isn't specified. There's also no mention of how many models come from Chevrolet and how many are from GMC.
The problem rests with the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank - it could fail, resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. It hardly requires explaining, but a faulty fuel gauge could leave drivers in a situation where they run out of diesel.
GM will begin notifying customers of affected vehicles, who will be asked to report to their dealers for a free replacement transfer pump.
GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy
Mon, 05 May 2014With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
2014 GMC Sierra 4.3L V6 to offer segment-best 305 LB-FT
Mon, 06 May 2013General Motors has released more information on the 4.3-liter V6 available in the 2014 GMC Sierra. The engine will serve up 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission, and giving the V6 Sierra a maximum tow rating of 7,200 pounds in regular cab, short bed four-wheel drive configuration. GM claims that figure is 500 pounds more than the equivalent Ford F-150 equipped with a 3.7-liter V6, and 700 pounds more than the Ram 1500 with its 3.6-liter V6. Buyers can expect to see the 2014 GMC Sierra with the 4.3-liter engine start at $25,085 including destination.
While the engine does deliver more torque than either of its main competitors, it falls short on the horsepower front. The 3.7-liter V6 in the F-150 develops 302 hp while the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500 yields 305 hp. GM says fuel economy estimates for its newest entry will land later this year.
