1999 Gmc Z71 Sierra 1500 Sl Extended Cab Pickup 3-door 5.3l on 2040-cars
Marion, Arkansas, United States
As I stated in the condition description, the truck runs perfectly fine, especially having a lot of miles, but there are some defects that make this a perfect work truck or a good first truck. The biggest issue I see with the truck is where it has rusted through under the doors. I'm happy to email pictures if you need them. I bought this truck simply to use for my roofing business, which now I have sold and do not need the truck anymore. It has brand new shocks, alternator, and 3 year battery ($500). This is a 1999 GMC Z71 4x4 truck that has ALOT of pep and go still in it. When you hit the gas, it takes off, and with the dual exhaust, you can definitely hear it. I bought this truck from a guy in Missouri and I live in Arkansas. I drove it down 4 hours and had no problems. I've gone back and forth from Mississippi to Arkansas several times in it and never had a problem. I am happy to discuss shipping options with you and work with you however I can. Marc |

2015 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon airbag problem causes recall
Tue, 14 Oct 2014
The recall affects 2,432 vehicles, though only 138 had actually reached consumers.
General Motors quickly fixed an airbag-wiring problem with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, but is still conducting a small recall to repair the midsize trucks that are launching this fall.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra introduced
2014 GMC Sierra Regular Cab revealed
Thu, 16 May 2013Despite initially launching in just the Crew Cab configuration, the lineup of 2014 GMC Sierra and 2014 Chevrolet Silverado trucks will eventually grow to include three cab sizes and three bed lengths. Oddly enough, our first look at the Regular Cab bodystyle has arrived in a General Motors press release discussing the aerodynamics of the new truck, with an image showing a Sierra Regular Cab testing in the wind tunnel. GMC's website says that Regular Cab and Double Cab models will be available by summer.
While it really didn't take too much imagination to figure out what the two-door version would look like, this Regular Cab Z71 looks pretty sharp with its standard-length (6.5-feet) bed - a longer bed will also be offered. In regards to the aero tuning of the 2014 Sierra, these images show just how far GM has gone in maximizing the truck's fuel efficiency and reducing its noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels. Interestingly, the press release shows visual evidence that keeping the tailgate up is best for aero - there's always been some Mythbusters-level contention about such things -but GM also says that adding tonneau covers (preferably soft) and running boards can also help improve the overall aerodynamics. Scroll down for all of this aero info in the official press release.
