Restoration Project Convertible 2 Tops on 2040-cars
New Port Richey, Florida, United States
The car is complete with the exception of the rear bumper (which is available in after market). The car does run, does not smoke. Needs a complete restoration. Frame seems to be good. Will need lower quarter patch panels, new doors or lower door sections, lower front fender section, front valance, inner and outer rockers (which I believe new ones are here), will need small patches in trunk and some patches on the floors. The car is all number matching and original. It has power seat, windows and steering. Originally a red on red car with white convertible top and white hard top. Have both tops. Hood and trunk lid are rust free. Has fender skirts, new exhaust pipes, new tail lights and rings. Has nice hubcaps. Has many extra parts. Has a clean Florida title. This is a great project. The engine, transmission, two tops and power seats are worth more than what we are asking for the car. We have too many projects right now and won't get to this any time soon. If you have any questions contact Norm at 727-863-1899. May deliver for a fee.

Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses
Wed, 25 Jul 2012
Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
