Up for bids is a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT super cab 4X4 truck! This Auction is NO RESERVE so bid to win! This truck was my uncles truck, he gave it to me shortly before before he passed away. this is a good running truck just had new brakes installed on the front, just put new rear shocks on the truck. just had a new starter put in it. last winter both front hubs were replaced. all the tires hold air and still have good tread. The air conditioning blows ice cold!this comes with a spare tire, it will be in the bed when you pick it up. It has rhino liner (or something like that) on the lower panels of the truck all the way around, it really makes it look good. The passenger side outside door handle sometimes sticks so you have to make sure its pushed in when you shut it. there are some dents in the truck the biggest one in on the driver send fender but its not too bad. The radio and cd player work good, but there is no display showing on the radio. the paint on the the truck is not perfect but it looks great for its age! Truck does have a tow hitch on the back along with trailer towing plug in the back too. This truck starts, runs good, drives good. it also has four wheel drive and its an automatic transmission. This truck has two jump seats in the back too This Truck has 144,000 miles on it, the title shows 148,632 there was a typo at the title place but I didn't see it until after I left. Title is free and clear its in my name and ready for you to buy it! again this is No Reserve auction bid to win. If you don't plan on paying for it don't bid! Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit
Tue, 30 Jul 2013If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.
Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013
Thu, 07 Feb 2013As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.

Tue, 22 Jul 2014Our new man Greg Migliore is in attendance at a Ford media event at the Blue Oval's Dearborn, MI headquarters today, and he's reported in with a handful of the 2015 F-150 stats that we've been dying to know. Ford is slow-playing the news release here, but we can still offer up some interesting output and performance figures after half-year of waiting.
We have all be quite aware that Ford's shift to aluminum construction would save a lot of weight for F-150 models, and the results we're hearing now are duly impressive. For instance: in Super Crew trim, a 2015 F-150 is a whopping 732-pounds lighter than was its closest 2014-model-year equivalent. That's like hauling three middle-aged dudes to your bowling alley's league night for free. Polish your balls, guys.
Ford isn't willing to offer up any actual curb weights just yet, but if we take that 732-pound loss and extrapolate with the 5,128-pound curb weight of the 2014 F-150 Super Crew with the 3.7-liter V6, we can guesstimate that 2015 models will measure out in the 4,400-pound range. That's impressive.
