1951 Ford F1 Truck Rat Rod on 2040-cars

Year:1951 Mileage:99999
Location:

Jeffersonville, Georgia, United States

Jeffersonville, Georgia, United States

This truck started out as an Atlanta, GA built V8 5 star extra cab pickup in Sheridan Blue. It has had a hard life since then. As can be seen, the body panels are dented and rusty. There is no motor, trans, radiator, driveshaft, etc. Some of the interior pieces are missing as well. I would consider this a parts truck only or possibly use the chassis, cab, and bed for a rat rod starter project. The floor is rusty, the doors are rusty at the bottom, the cab corners are rusty, the running boards are rusty, the fenders are rusty, the hood is rusty, etc. I just took out the windshield because I need the stainless so the truck hasn’t been getting rained in from the front side. I have a tarp covering the cab now. Study photos carefully as they are a large part of the description.

The frame appears in pretty good shape and the 3 spd trans crossmember isn’t cut up like so many of these old trucks. The truck appears to be used up but never taken apart so most of the peculiar fasteners and clips are in place. The RH front tire is busted but the other three air up. The truck steers and rolls easily. The grille and front edges of the fenders would look neat on a mancave wall; Salvage Dawgs (on TV) got $1200 for this same feature on a 48-50 grille—double your money!!!

As a reflection of the sheetmetal condition, the opening bid is set at roughly twice scrap value; first bid buys it! I can’t ship it but I will help you load it. Less than 10 feedback contact me before bidding to avoid cancellation of bid. $100 Paypal deposit due with three days of auction end; rest of payment due in cash at time of pickup. DO NOT pay full balance with Paypal or I will be forced to charge you another 3% to cover their fees. No title for this type of vehicle in GA; sold with bill of sale only. I reserve right to end auction early. I can hold truck for up to three weeks after auction ends after receipt of deposit. Jason four 7 eight, two 3 three, three 2 nine 2.

Ford auctioning off F-35-themed 2015 Mustang for charity

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Ford's been a supporter of EAA AirVenture, a huge, annual air show held in Oshkosh, WI, for several years now, with one of its most notable contributions being a modified Ford Mustang, designed to look like one of America's great fighting aircraft. There was an SR-71 Mustang, based on the legendary spy plane, a Red Tails edition, which honored the ground-breaking Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, as well as Blue Angels and Thunderbird Mustangs, based on America's two great military aerial demonstration teams.
Each car is auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program, which introduces kids to the joy of flight. For the 2014 AirVenture, which runs from July 28 to August 3, the one-off pony car is based on the new-for-2015 Mustang, and America's latest fighting aircraft - the controversial F-35 Lightning II.
The unique Mustang sports titanium paint scheme, with both glossy and matte sections, as well as yellow-and-blue trim and decal elements inspired by CF-1, the first F-35 test plane. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser add some visual eye candy, while the interior boasts a set of Recaro seats. Ford also opted to fit unique wheels and a brawnier rear spoiler, to tie everything together.

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.

Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
