The car has very low miles for a 1999, with only 76,541 miles. But the engine has even less mileage, with only about 25,000 miles on it. The motor is a Ford SVT 01 Cobra motor with 03 heads on it. Performance add ons include Mac TF9900 Long tube headers, Hi Flo H-Pipe, Cat back with 3-1/2 in pipes, Steeda Under drive pulleys, Cold air intake, 4:10 rear gear with bearing kit, Diablo chip, Ticks for Speedometer to keep everything accurate, new Walbro HP fuel pump, Steeda Tri-Ax T-45 shifter with B&M knob, Welded sub frame connectors, IRS Cobra Sport springs, Strange struts, HBH shocks, Mach One Ram air fiberglass hood ( one of only 10 ever made), Billet fuel door, Billet interior buttons and knobs, Tinted windows, Saleen 18x9 front wheels with BF Goodrich G-Force 265/35/ZR 18, Saleen 18x10 rear wheels with BF Goodrich 295/35/ZR 18. We have a replacement Saleen front fascia, Saleen side vents, Kaminari side skirts and Kaminari rear fascia that all comes with the car. It was bought through Mr. Body kit a few years ago after the front Fascia cracked which you can see in the pictures. We just have not had time to get it installed yet. The interior is in good condition with no ripped or torn seats and the back seats look almost new. The car is in great shape for something that's 15 years old, and its got a lot of nice performance extras and of course the body kit that comes with it. Facelifted Ford Focus caught testing in the cold

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

It's that time in the life of the Ford Focus to get a little work done - a nip-tuck here, some Botox there. Yes, Ford is testing a facelifted version of its global C-segment entry, which first hit markets in Europe and North America in May 2011.
Like the touchup on the Fiesta, expect Ford's gaping grille to make its first appearance on the Focus. Our spy photographers point out that this is likely to be a more comprehensive makeover than previous spy shots suggested, based on the additional camouflage seen here on the front and rear ends of this five-door model. New head and taillights are also likely in order, as are changes to the front and rear fascia.
The interior was also snapped and features a cleaner design with a larger central display. Other than that, it looks like some buttons have been changed, making us think most of the Focus' updates are limited to the exterior.

Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.

Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Scroll down for all the details on these Fiestas and Mustangs, and stay tuned for more info on Ford's SEMA line, which will include custom versions of the Focus ST, Fusion, Transit Connect, F-150 and Super Duty.
