You're looking at Cobra #2999 built in 1996.  I purchased the car in January 2009 with 91k miles, bone stock.  Immediately I had the car repainted in the factory color, Laser Red.  Since then the car has not seen rain or snow.  This has not been my daily driver, but rather a toy I use far too little.  I feel bad putting miles on it, and I feel bad looking at my money sitting there.

I have invested better than $9,000 into this car on top of the purchase price.  This is an abbreviated list of modifications (for your sake), but everything major is listed.

Performance
-ZEX Wet Nitrous Kit (75-150 Shot), Window Switch, Bottle Heater, Dual Purge
-JLT Cold Air Intake
-Flowtech Long Tube Headers/Off-Road X-Pipe
-MAC Cat-Back Exhaust
-SCT SF3/X3 w/Tunes
-Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter
-FRPP 4.10 Gears
-Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs
-BfGoodrich "Flame Pattern" tires - 295's

Cosmetics
-18" FR500 Wheels, Cobra R Centercaps
-Tinted BOI Headlights, Tinted Factory Tails/Fogs
-12k HID's
-Roush Recaro Heated/Cooled Seats
-GlowShift Tinted Digital Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, and Nitrous Pressure Gauges
-7" Flip-Out Touch Screen DVD Player
-Infinity Speakers

I have also installed several other "tune-up" items including new plugs & wires, radiator, thermostat, battery, brake pads, fuel filter, etc.  I have cared for this car meticulously, waxing atleast 3 times per year and changing the oil every 3,000 miles.  Maintenance is documented since 2009.  Despite the fact the car puts down 300 rwhp N/A and 450 rwhp on a 150 shot, this is absolutely the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.  I've driven it to Chicago and back a few times (10 hours round trip) and never had a hiccup.  You could hop in today and drive to California.  Very tame and easy to drive for what it is.

There are a few minor things that need attention.  Rest assured, I am always 100% up-front when selling a vehicle.  These are all the things that keep this car from being 100% flawless.

-The Air Conditioning hasn't blown cold since shortly after I bought the car.  I assume it just needs recharged, but haven't bothered since I wouldn't use it either way.
-The driver's seat motor was burnt out when I purchased the car.  I used the stock tracks when installing the new seats, so essentially the driver's seat is "stuck" all the way back.  I'm just shy of 6' and it's nearly perfect.  Installing a manual seat track would fix this, although it is possible to push the seat forward and put something behind it to keep it there.  Like the air conditioning, it doesn't bother me so I haven't bothered fixing it.
-There are some light spiderwebs on the rear bumper in about a 3-4" circle that are nearly impossible to see.  I tried to take a picture but the camera couldn't pick it up. Still, I thought I should mention it.  Make no mistake, this car looks flawless up close and far away.

All things considered, 8,100 is an absolute steal.  I hate to see it go but I don't drive it enough and I need a new truck.

If you have any questions call or text 419-236-2892.  Leave a message if I don't answer.

I am not willing to ship --- local pickup only.  Listing may end at any time due to several other listings.

Ford's Farley apologizes for saying Blue Oval tracks customers with GPS

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

Ford marketing head honcho Jim Farley made waves at CES this week by telling show attendees, "We know everyone who breaks the law, we know when you're doing it." according to a report by Business Insider. Farley continued by saying, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone."
Farley has since amended his statement, saying that Ford dose not, in fact, track its customers in their cars "without their approval or consent."
Apparently carried away with a hypothetical notion, Farley was attempting to describe how Ford might be able to employee aggregated user data for things like accurate traffic reporting and pattern spotting. A Ford spokesperson confirmed with Business Insider that its GPS units are not sharing the whereabouts of drivers, though there are a few on-board services that might do so. After opting in to the services (and presumably being made aware of any/all tracking and data collection), Ford's Sync Services Directions and Crew Chief software do, in fact, allow data collection as a means of improving both systems. Farley added that the opt-in data is not shared, even when being tracked.

European car sales up 8% in February

Sat, 22 Mar 2014

Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.

Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford

Thu, 22 May 2014

It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
