History

The car you are bidding on was purchased for my husband and I as a wedding gift by mother prior to her passing in 2006. We purchased the car from a private owner in New York State. The man indicate he had the car for nearly ten years and he being the owner of a body shop had  done a complete restoration and painted the car Fuchsia for his wife. We have his photos of the restoration he had done. My husband was unhappy with the color this past September scheduled to take the car for new paint and update the restoration.  My husband pulled the motor and transmission and disassembled the car in preparation for the work. The day before sending it to the body shop he suffered a stroke that has made it impossible for us to financially complete the project. we hate seeing those cars that rot to heck because of a maybe or a memory, so as said as it is we are placing it for sale. The motor and transmission are not in the car however Jim has slowly reassembled the car.

Condition

The original motor and transmission are being sold with the car, with the motor needing reassembly. The exhaust is fairly new as are the tires. The Interior needs cleaning but is complete and in very good condition with exception of the original radio was taken out. The original glass is in good condition and all in tact. the floor pans were replaced in the original restoration. The coul had work done to it and is something Jim thought could have been done better. beyond that my husband indicates the vehicle  with a little work could be a very nice cruiser.

2015 Ford Mustang [w/videos]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It'd be unwise to bet against the sixth generation of this legendary nameplate.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is assuredly the most anticipated new vehicle of the year. The redesigned Pony Car has been the subject of frantic gossiping and covert spy photos covering everything from the way it looks to the tech it will include, its performance, mechanicals and a bevy of other aspects of Ford's performance icon.

Mulally will stay close to Ford after he steps down, plans to advise Fields [w/video]

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

Ford CEO Alan Mulally has less than a week left in his role of leading the Blue Oval before he hands off duties to Mark Fields on July 1. It doesn't look like Mulally is going to be shuffling off into his retirement anytime soon, though. The 68-year-old is being rather secretive about his next move, but he tells Bloomberg in a recent interview that he plans to stay close to Ford. Also, if Fields wants to ask for any advice, Mulally is happy to help.
Mulally took over at Ford in 2006 and led the company through a seriously rough patch in the auto industry. According to Bloomberg, he became famous or his Thursday meetings where executives were forced to deal with any problems before they could leave. Since announcing his retirement from Ford in May, Mulally has been insuring a smooth transition of power by traveling the world to all of company's major locations and saying goodbye to employees and dealers.
In terms of the future at Ford, Mulally doesn't predict any big changes in management style because the rest of the executive team is staying in place. He believes that Fields is going to maintain the processes already in place to keep things going. After all, it seems to be working. The company is predicting a return to profitability in Europe next year and is opening 88 new dealers in China. If the business could get its recalls under control, things could get even better.

Mustang GT350 reveal coming Nov 17?

Mon, 03 Nov 2014

Ford looks to have something really big planned for the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Blue Oval has released the first of five teaser videos on the brand's performance heritage, and aside from some great images of racers over the years, the video includes a series of teaser images, the last of which points to November 17, 2014.
That's the day before press days open in LA, and considering the propensity of global automakers to plan lavish debuts the night before a major international auto show, it's a virtual certainty that Ford will be showing off some sort of special vehicle.
That'd be news in and of itself, but based on the images shown in Ford's teaser video - which include an Alcantara steering wheel, a "Powered by Ford" valve cover, aluminum pedals, sticky tires, a big, round exhaust tip, a honeycomb grille and a serious set of wheels - it seems very likely that Ford will be showing something performance oriented.
