I'm listing this car for a good friend that doesn't use the internet.  I have helped him with the build of this car and can explain it well.

This car is a monster!  It is a bad little hot rod Ford with a mean engine, a number matching 1967 Corvette 327 with fuelie heads. It is all early Hot Rod Ford with the exception of the engine.  39 Ford trans, 39 brakes, 36 rear.   My buddy thought the rear may have been the weak link in this build, so he put it to the test.  It passes with flying colors.   It launches, and the rear is not weak, this car flies.   It has a heavy chop, I'd guess about 5 1/2 inches.   It is very easy to see out the windshield though, and with the top left open it is a very enjoyable ride in the sun flying down the highway.  He has always had a plan of doing a black cloth or vinyl top that snaps to the roof, but never got around to it.   I think it would look neat.   There were patches put in in front of the wheel wells and they were done right.  The wheel wells were also replaced with 1930 Ford coupe patches, vs the sedan style as he like them better.  The car could use some glass if thats your thing?  Which is cheap as I always make my own paper patterns and have glass made.   Probably under 200 dollars.   Car could also use some rubber around doors.   Other then that is needs nothing.   Its fast and loud.   It does have mufflers, but my pal likes to remove the dump plates and scare the neighborhood.  It has a 12 volt generator, not a goofy modern alternator.   It has nice custom exhaust pipes with clean smoothed out welds.  This is a solid hot rod with black primer.   It could be painted a nice shiny color and be a whole different car.   Car is listed locally and we reserve the right to end the auction for a local sale.  Please message us for any more details.  Thanks for looking

Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."

2014 Ford F-150 Tremor adds some sport to shake things up

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Like most quakes, the 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor caught us by surprise. We weren't expecting Ford to offer up another version of its best-seller so soon before the truck's full redesign, but that's exactly what the company is doing.
While Ford calls the Tremor a "performance truck," the new pickup doesn't play on the same level as the SVT Raptor does on dirt, or even the long-gone SVT Lightning did on pavement. Think of it as a parts bin sport truck that probably does a better job looking the part than acting it. The Tremor utilizes the same twin-turbo, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 available across the F-150 lineup, producing 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, but matches it with a 4.10 rear axle - the shortest final drive ratio you can get in an F-150 - for the strongest possible acceleration.
The Tremor does do a decent job looking the part. Available only in short-wheelbase, regular cab configuration with your choice of two- or four-wheel drive, it struts around wearing the F-150's FX Appearance Package, flat black accents, 20-inch black wheels, HID headlights and a special exterior graphics package. The Tremor is the only regular cab F-150 with a flow-through center console, which means it also gets a floor-mounted shifter and bucket seats that are covered in black leather with red piping. Some brushed metal accents and steering wheel with red stitching round out the interior upgrades.
