Purchased this car 1 year ago and reason for selling is son is going off to college and wont be here to enjoy resto modding it with me. Will sell for what I paid for it and not for what I put into it. Reserve will be well below all the Galaxies that have been listed on here in the past year.

8 cyl Ford 390 with new Holley 650 carb. C6 tranny with shift kit, Ford 9 in. posi rear end with 4:11 gears, B&M star shifter, dual exhaust with new glasspack mufflers.

Nice interior with period Mustang buckets, vinal replacement dashpad, newer carpet.

Paint is original and is faded with scratches but no dents and no signs of body filler except for around the top of rear wheel wells.. Floors have been redone but by previous owner. Trunk floor has had metal work done.

I put alot of new parts on the car, biggest expence being Holley carb, rear springs and shocks.

Has BRAND NEW....

Battery
Battery cables
solonoid
plugs
wires
cap
points
rotor
Holley 650 carb, vacuum secondaries, elec choke
Heater blower motor
Rear springs
rear shocks
glasspack mufflers
rear wheel cylinders and pads
all belts new
steering wheel
aftermarket radio under dash, mp3, media card slot, cd
rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders
OEM type glove box liner
And more

Needs

Headliner
Some front end bushings for a better ride
body work around rear quarters
vent window pivot hinges
drivers door card is rough at bottom
speedo worked 4 months ago but does not work now
rear bench seat bottom has 2 seam tears along the threading 6 inches each
bumpers have some chrome peeling off

All trim is there and in great condition. All lights, blinkers, dash lights work. Am radio turns on and lights up but is not hooked up to speakers as the aftermarket radio under dash is. Car starts right up, sounds great with the glasspacks, runs and drives well. Stops good with 4 wheel drums. Lays a double patch of rubber stop light to stop light if so desired. Miledge is over 100k but previous owner said it was rebuilt with mild cam 3 years ago.

Please message me with any questions. Location is Buffalo NY so local pickup or shipping by you will be needed at your expence. If car sells for certain amount I will chip in for your shipping.

I drive this car about 3 times a week since I got it a year ago

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Fields 'required' to use private aircraft, could make $5.25M as Ford CEO this year

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Mark Fields' travels on the friendly skies will soon be a relatively personal affair, as the new CEO at Ford will be required to resume air travel via the company's private planes. Fields caught plenty of flak in 2007 for flying on the company's dime to visit his family in Florida. He's since flown commercial.
According to Ford spokesperson Susan Krusel, who spoke to Bloomberg, Fields (pictured above right, with Bill Ford, Jr. at center and Alan Mulally at left) will switch to private travel "for safety and to maximize his availability for company business." In addition to his new travel arrangements, the 53-year-old exec's salary and bonuses have been revealed.
Regulatory filings by Ford revealed that Fields, whose first day in the big chair was July 1, will receive a base salary this year of $1.25 million and he'll be eligible for $3.5 million in bonuses, both of which are lower than Alan Mulally's $2 million salary and $5.88 million in bonuses received last year. That's also lower than General Motors CEO Mary Barra's alleged $1.6-million salary and considerably less than Sergio Marchionne's $3.19-million fixed salary from Fiat. Despite falling short of other CEOs, Fields' new pay still represents a 33-percent increase over his pay as Chief Operating Officer.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor sales jumping to new heights

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Ford can't seem to build F-150 SVT Raptors fast enough. The off-road-ready trucks have been one of the Blue Oval's most reliable sellers, with record sales in eight of the last 10 months and a 14-percent jump in 2013. That's impressive enough, considering that the least expensive Raptor starts at $44,000. Factor in the modded F-150's fuel economy (it's rated at 11 miles per gallon in the city and 16 on the highway) and a national average gas price, as of this writing, of $3.55 per gallon, and its success is as unlikely as Ford's home team, the Detroit Lions, winning the Super Bowl this year (sorry, Lions fans, we're just quoting the experts in Vegas...).
Yet for some reason, Raptors spend an average of just 15 days on dealer lots before being snapped up, which is a quarter of the 60-day industry average. According to Ford's truck group marketing manager, Doug Scott, it's capability that keeps the Raptor selling strong. "What's helping drive Raptor sales is that Raptor delivers unmatched off-road performance to our customers. Raptor is also proof of our commitment to offer a truck for every customer and continuously improving them to meet our customers' evolving needs."
To address the strong demand for Raptors, Ford will bump production from three trucks per hour to five. Not much, we agree. But building an extra 48 trucks per day, at most, seems like a prudent way of addressing demand without oversaturating what is ultimately a niche market. Check out the press release below for more.
