1965 Ford Galaxie 289 Barn Find on 2040-cars

This is a 1965 Galaxie 500 2 door. 289 engine. The VIN number is included in the pictures. I found this along with (6) 65, 66 and 67 Galaxies in a barn in NE Ohio. All are Red. I bought two, a friend of mine bought one and the others are currently not for sale. I did not meet the owner. I dealt with a friend of the owner. The property they were found on has several buildings, all are barns or storage. I am going to sell both of the ones I purchased. Here is what I know about this one: I did not try to start it. The passenger front tire is locked up. The body is in great shape. On fender is dented (see pics.) The bumpers have a grease on them to protect them. It has been stored for quite a while. The interior including the dash pad look great. I took pictures with my phone. This is a project car or parts. I was told one owner, original miles and the interior reflects this. The divers door armrest is broken but included. The horn ring is also not on the steering wheel but included. I did not open the trunk, (no key) It looks good underneath with the exception of the frame rails under the doors. They will need attention. All chrome and trim is pretty much dent free. I encourage and inspection, sold as is. $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of winning bid, balance on pick up.

Mulally will stay close to Ford after he steps down, plans to advise Fields [w/video]
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally has less than a week left in his role of leading the Blue Oval before he hands off duties to Mark Fields on July 1. It doesn't look like Mulally is going to be shuffling off into his retirement anytime soon, though. The 68-year-old is being rather secretive about his next move, but he tells Bloomberg in a recent interview that he plans to stay close to Ford. Also, if Fields wants to ask for any advice, Mulally is happy to help.
Mulally took over at Ford in 2006 and led the company through a seriously rough patch in the auto industry. According to Bloomberg, he became famous or his Thursday meetings where executives were forced to deal with any problems before they could leave. Since announcing his retirement from Ford in May, Mulally has been insuring a smooth transition of power by traveling the world to all of company's major locations and saying goodbye to employees and dealers.
In terms of the future at Ford, Mulally doesn't predict any big changes in management style because the rest of the executive team is staying in place. He believes that Fields is going to maintain the processes already in place to keep things going. After all, it seems to be working. The company is predicting a return to profitability in Europe next year and is opening 88 new dealers in China. If the business could get its recalls under control, things could get even better.
Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.

Honda giving away free Civics in Forza Horizon to celebrate launch
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Just a friendly reminder from Honda: The Honda Challenge Pack DLC is now available for Forza Horizon. To reward you for the trouble of pressing a few buttons on your Xbox controller, you'll get the 2013 Honda Civic Coupe, an HPD Rally Fit and a 1986 Honda Civic Si Coupe in your garage, and you'll get them free. The event of the new DLC has also kicked off a photo contest that will reward someone with an Xbox 360 console wrapped in a Honda Civic Si theme.
Otherwise, the word "Challenge" keeps coming up because of the chance to run an online race against IndyCar driver Scott Dixon. The track for that digital throwdown has already been decided by Xbox players who voted before January 8. Yet it's not too late to hop into the Honda section in Xbox Live and lay down a time fast enough for a shot at the title "The Driver That Shellacked Scott Dixon," and meeting the man in person.
