*NO RESERVE AUCTION!*

1965 falcon convertible. pretty rare car. Most falcons out there for sale are 64's.hard to find very solid old ford. It is currently a running, driving, registered car. It has just had a valve job, electronic ignition conversion, new fuel pump, new carburator, and battery. Just had a brand new set of whitewall tires put on it.   We also just replaced the rear leaf springs and hangers with new bushings.  Drives and runs pretty well but I would assume the rest of the suspension may very well be original. I wouldn't see a problem driving it home however it is still an old car so anything can happen.  Has a power top that works very well. all lights, turn signals, etc work. The original radio even works still!!        the worst parts of the car are the chrome is flaking off the rear bumper and the trunk lock is missing in action..lol   The top works great and is all there but likely the original or a replacement a long time ago. it works but is in need of replacement if car was to be restored.      From what I have found the pictures below show the only rust which is on the bottom of the inner rocker. probably a 2x6 inch area or so on both sides where it is thin.  the trunk, floors, quarters and everything else look to be solid.  Body is absolutely solid, doors do not sag when they are opened like most convertibles out there for sale.  The car was originally the dark IVY green.  Looks like it was repainted red a LONG time ago.  it does have a cool patina to it and gets alot of attention when we cruise it around.   All of the glass and top window is there and in place. The windshield has a rock chip in it but other than that the glass is in nice condition.

I have represented the car to the best of my knowledge and will meet any bidder for a preview no problem.   On cars this old a lot of condition items are subject to each persons opinion. What I may think is horrible you may not.  I try to make sure the car is well represented so the buyer will be pleasantly surprised when it arrives.  The car is for sale locally and is subject to sale prior to end of auction. We offer transportation assistance for overseas buyers. Flat rate of $200.00 in addition to close price, to transport it the port of oakland ca. We also work directly with a excellent transport company(no brokers) for delivery in the states.

A deposit of 500.00 is due immediatly at end of auction for winning bidder!  If you do not agree to this do not bid please. Please do not hesitate to call or message me with any questions. 916-740-9438

Thanks, and HAPPY BIDDING!!!

Ford confirms Everest SUV production for China

Sat, 19 Apr 2014

According to Ford, the Chinese SUV segment grew by 49 percent in 2013, and the Blue Oval held a 4.5 percent market share. At the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, Ford is showing the Everest SUV that, while just a concept for now, will go into production in the near future.
The Everest is a big, brawny seven-seat SUV that mixes solid, chiseled styling and contemporary Ford design cues. Up front there is an angular version of the trapezoidal grille and sharp, wraparound headlights. The beltline rises in the rear to make the back appear higher than the front. The rear seems just as chiseled, with the taillights resting in jagged scallops. There is no doubt that this concept means to look rugged, and ready for rough roads - the whole thing looks pretty great.
The truck was penned by Ford's Asia Pacific design and engineering team in Australia, and it was first shown in Sydney last year. Ford's JMC joint venture will build the truck for the Chinese market, and it will be sold at Ford dealers there. The Blue Oval isn't hinting at what powers the production version yet, but it reportedly shares some components with the foreign-market Ranger.

Ford investing $500M in engine plant for 2.7L EcoBoost production

Sun, 30 Mar 2014

Ohio is a hot area for Ford at the moment with the announcement just a few weeks ago that production of the next-generation F-650/F-750 medium-duty trucks would move from Mexico to the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio. Now, Ford is investing $500 million to hire 300 workers at its Lima Engine Plant in Lima, Ohio, to add production of the twin-turbo 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 for the 2015 F-150.
The latest investment will be used to add a new flexible engine assembly system and renovate 700,000 square feet of the plant for machining and assembly areas. The Lima factory already builds Ford's 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter Duratec V6 engines. The plant opened in 1957, and it's on track to build its 40 millionth engine later this year.
Ford claims that the 2.7-liter EcoBoost will offer V8 performance with better efficiency in the F-150. It comes standard with intelligent stop/start that doesn't activate when the truck is towing or in four-wheel drive, and it's made from a combination of compacted graphite iron and aluminum for low weight and high strength. The company says that V6 engines have already proven popular in the F-150 with 57 percent of trucks in 2014 being equipped with either the naturally aspirated 3.7-liter or turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines.

2015 Ford Mustang GT road test ride-along

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

You've no doubt already pored over our first drive of the 2015 Ford Mustang, where author Jonathon Ramsey proclaimed that "this new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment." And following Ramsey's first stint behind the wheel of Ford's new coupe, we sent him back out with another 'Stang to capture some of these same impressions over a backdrop of the car moving quickly along gorgeous California canyon roads.
But this also gave our author and editors time to read through the hundreds of comments left on that original Mustang review. You readers are indeed a vocal bunch, and one particular comment about how the automotive media is so willing to bash an outgoing car as soon as the new one arrives really caught our attention. In this video, Ramsey stands by his written text, saying the new Mustang is "massively better than the one it replaces," and in doing so, addresses your comments while providing more insight into just how good the Ford truly is.
We won't spoil the rest for you. Check out the feature video above, and as always, leave us your thoughts in the Comments section below.
