ENGINE: 428 4 BARREL WAS REBUILT AND HAS VERY FEW MILES ON IT. THE CRANE CAM SPECS LIFT 478/505 AND THE DURATION 284. THE HORSE POWER SHOULD BE AROUND 360.

TRANSMISSION: THE TRANSMISSION IS A C-6 AUTOMATIC THAT WAS ALSO REBUILT AT THE SAME TIME. IT PERFORMS VERY WELL AND HAS NO MAJOR LEAKS.

INTERIOR: THE INTERIOR IS BLUE WITH A FULL BENCH SEAT. IT IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL AND NEEDS A LITTLE WORK.THE SHIFTER IS ON THE COLUMN. ALL GUAGES ARE FACTORY AND SEEM TO WORK WELL.

BODY: THE BODY IS SOLID AND THE PAINT IS GOOD BUT NOT PERFECT. IT HAS GT EMBLEMS ON IT ALONG WITH THE 428 EMBLEMS ON THE FACTORY HOOD SCOOP. THERE IS A SMALL DENT IN THE HOOD WHERE IT GOT HUNG UP ON CLOSING. THE CHROME IS OK BUT SHOWS SOME SMALL SPECS OF RUST. THE BRAKES ARE ALL MANUAL BUT WORK WELL. THE POWER STEERING WORKS GREAT.

THE AUTO LISTER'S OPINION. THIS IS A GREAT DRIVER. IT NEEDS A LITTLE TLC AND COULD BE A REAL NICE CAR. THE UNDER FRAME IS VERY VERY CLEAN. THIS CAR WOULD BE WORTH FINISHING AND MAKING PERFECT. THE 428 GIVES IT THE POWER TO REALLY CRUISE DONE THE ROAD. THE DUAL EXHAUST GIVES IT THAT REAL NICE RASPY SOUND. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICS. WE HAVE 100% FEEDE BACK BECAUSE WE ARE 100% UP FRONT. Ford gives S-Max the Vignale treatment in Milan

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Ford has a bit of a history in reviving the names of old coachbuilders it has long since gobbled up and using them to distinguish its top-of-the-line models in Europe. That's what it did for years with Ghia, and after having replaced it several years ago with the Titanium trim level, now it's doing it again with Vignale.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Ford revealed the Mondeo Vignale concept in both sedan and wagon body-styles, which are set to reach production next year. But before they do, the Blue Oval automaker is at it again, applying similar upgrades to the S-Max minivan and unveiling it in concept form in Milan this week.
Setting the Vignale concept apart from any other S-Max is its Milano Grigio rose-hued silver pearlescent paint, 21-inch alloys, chrome trim and hexagonal-pattern grille. Inside it's all ultra-soft quilted leather and aluminum trim, with tablet docking stations in the back and thinner, more flexible seats than the existing production version.

This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.

Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
