NOTE: Please read the full description below on this amazing truck.

Here we have a 2002 FORD F-450 FLATBED 4X4 with only 79,000 actual miles. The best part is the truck has the 7.3 Liter Power Stroke diesel. This is by far the best engine Ford offered in their trucks.  They have been well proven over the years to go 500,000 miles or more if maintained like this truck was. The other nice thing is most mechanic shops can repair them when something does go wrong unlike the newer diesels with emission controls on them.

The F-450 is another plus on this truck. They are much heavier built than an F-250 or F-350 with thicker frames, heavy duty suspension, etc. and if you need big brakes and 14 Ply tires for pulling heavier trailers these are superior to any pickup truck or dually. In a lot of states they require this truck for pulling a tandem axle trailer because of the heavier GVW rating it has.

As you can see the truck is in excellent condition for the year with only a few small dings and scratches that we showed in the pictures.

The truck had right side damage to an enclosed utility box that was on it since new. The Heating and Air Condition company that owned the truck gave us a great history on it when we called them so we proceeded to buy it from the insurance company and repair the truck for our retail lot.

The enclosed utility body sustained most of the damage so we removed it and replaced it with a brand new Aluma Brand flatbed that has never been used. These are really nice beds. They will never rust and have all LED lights on them. They also have stake pockets for racks and an aluminum head board.

There was also some light damage on the right cab corner and door so we replaced the door with another white door and repaired the cab corner.

The truck had no frame damage whatsoever and the power train was not touched since it was hit on the right front part of the utility bed and barely caught the cab corner. This came from a light T-bone type hit from someone running a Stop Sign at a low speed. Because the enclosed bed cost so much to replace the other driver's insurance company chose to total the truck so it was issued a Repairable Salvage title.

The truck turned out fantastic and you could never tell it was ever hit since most of the damage was removed with the bed. The work we done was very minor with the only repaired area that required any filler being down low on the right side cab corner. The used white door we had was near perfect and required no repairs at all.

Once again this truck had very light damage and it still run and drove like a new one before any repairs were made. It starts like a 79K truck should with great battery power and Glow plugs working properly. It also shifts great with good shift pressure unlike a high mileage automatic would. The A/C blows ice cold and everything works 100% on it. It is going to make someone a great truck that will do the job for many years to come and will cost much less than 1/2 of the $60K new prices these days.

The pictures should show it well and we always describe exactly what we know but if you have any questions please give us a call at 304-567-2999 or e-mail us on the listing. Also you are more than welcome to come in person and test drive it.

NOTE: The mileage may vary with a local test drive from our lot and we also reserve the right to sale the truck and end the auction early if someone local comes in. Otherwise it will run the full seven days and be sold to the highest bidder.

Thanks for looking at our listing and Good Luck bidding. Sincerely, Ted & Seth Davis

Chris Harris pits Fiesta ST against Mercedes G63 AMG in 0-60 battle... sort of

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

Vehicle performance tests are serious business, with reputations made or broken by things like braking distance, top speed, and lateral g-forces. King of the metrics, though, is the 0-60 run, which for unknown reasons has become the benchmark for what truly makes a car a performance machine.
Now, Chris Harris from Drive has turned the whole idea behind the sprint to 60 on its ear. Taking a new Ford Fiesta ST, Harris asks a simple question: would the ST be quicker to 60 on its own, or on a trailer being towed by a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG?
It's a fair question, really. The Fiesta Harris tested hit 60 in 7.2 seconds on a slightly uphill section of runway. It should be noted that Harris quotes his ST at 182 horsepower, which is about 15 ponies less than what we're getting in the US, so these numbers might not hold up all that well against an American model. The G63 AMG, meanwhile, is a 536-horsepower monster, powered by a twin-turbo V8 that, able to propel the big SUV to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds without towing a Fiesta.

Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.

How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
