Baxter, Minnesota, United States
2006 Ford F-350, Crew Cab, 6.0 diesel, Automatic, 6.5 box, LOADED with every available option including a sunroof, leather interior and 20" aluminum wheels. I have owned this truck since 2007, AFTERMARKET EXTRAS! windshield visor, tonneau cover, chrome bed rails, spray in bed liner, chrome wheel opening moldings, chrome heavy duty grill guard, front running lights, michelin tires, trailer towing package, window drip moldings I have had all my maintenance on this truck done at Mills Ford in Brainerd. All of the 6.0 Diesel updates have been completed at Mills Ford. I have receipts for the updates and a phone number for verification if it is needed. Since the updates are so involved, I asked them to do a general once over and do it right, they replaced everything that was needed, even ball joints. My invoice for the updates and other items came to $9700.00. The front doors do have some rust on the bottom of the doors (see photos). There isa very small spot of surface rust on the rear bottom of the front fenders (just in front of the wheel, see photo) and a very small spot of surface rust on the bottom and rear of the rear quarter panels (see photo). The truck drives like a brand new one! It is in great condition and needs nothing. With the engine updated, this truck provide many additional years of service to the new owner. I am selling this truck only because I could use the funds for business purposes. |

Ford books $2.6B pretax quarterly profit
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its crosstown competitors at General Motors are smarting over a drastic drop in net income to $200 million in the second quarter, Ford has reason to celebrate. The Blue Oval has announced its own Q2 financial results, including a growing net income of $1.3 billion, a $78 million increase over last year. Pretax profits for the company reached $2.6 billion, up $44 million from 2013, but total revenue dropped slightly to $37.4 billion, down from $37.9 billion. Profits per share before one-time charges totaled 40 cents per share, beating Wall Street analysts' expectations of 36 cents a share.
Regionally, the Blue Oval performed strongly, as well. North America posted a record quarterly pre-tax profit of $2.4 billion, a $119 million increase. Europe also showed signs of turn around with its first profit in three years of $14 million after a loss of $306 million in Q2 2013. Ford is actually predicting profitability in the troubled region in 2015. Asia Pacific operations also performed well with $159 million in profits, up $29 million from last year. The only region where the business posted a loss was South America.
According to Automotive News, Ford also announced more precise plans about the changeover to build the aluminum-intensive 2015 F-150. In August, the Dearborn plant will shutdown for eight weeks to retool and its Kansas City plant will do the same next year.
Project Ugly Horse: Part V
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
2015 Ford Mustang prototype spotted on the street
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Our trusty spy photographers have snapped the first photos of the 2015 Ford Mustang prototype out on public streets. With nearly every square inch of the machine covered in heavy camouflage, it's difficult to discern details, but we can see smallish horizontal headlamps at work in the coupe's nose. Ford has made it clear that modern lighting technology will allow the company to get away from large, expensive headlamp arrays in the near future, and the 2015 Mustang may very well be the first of the automaker's products to bow with the new tech. The philosophy was first displayed on the very attractive Evos Concept.
The extensive cladding doesn't extend all the way to the prototype's rockers in the instance, giving us a look at the heavily-sculpted sills. Overall, this test car looks considerably smaller than the current generation Mustang, and elements like a short front overhang and beefy dual-piston calipers give us plenty of hope for the future model. Of course, reports that the 2015 Mustang will bow with an independent rear suspension and EcoBoost power certainly don't hurt our feelings, either.
