Here is my truck. I'm selling it because we don't race much anymore. The truck is clean and in good mechanical shape. I drive it daily. Oil has been kept up to date with synthetic. Fuel filter is up to date. Tires are in good shape. New motorcraft shocks 3 months ago. New driver's side front wheel bearings 6 months ago. Transmission service, coolant flush, new hoses, belt 12 months ago. All service at the local ford dealer. New alignment with the new shocks. Truck drives smooth and straight. I get about 18mpg unloaded, 13-14 towing a 28ft box trailer. The truck has a LEER 122 camper shell with carpet interior. The bed has a "bedrug" carpet kit. We have used it regularly for family trips and racing. No problem with long trips. We have taken it annually to Utah and Reno for racing. There are TV screens in the headrests and a DVD player that works with alpine headsets. There are three headsets. Two work. The engine is rated at 275 hp/525 torque for this year. It's the last year of the 7.3 power stroke. The engine and transmission run strong with no issues. 4x4 works. The hubs are automatic with manual override in case the actuator in the axle fails. Ford Mustang GT350 drops some camo
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Now that we've poured over the 2015 Ford Mustang in its standard form, it's time to look ahead. We already knew (and heard - literally) that Ford was working on a higher-performance version of its 'Stang to replace the Shelby GT500, and earlier reports have stated that it will simply be called the GT350.
We don't have a ton of detail to go on, but this latest set of spy photos clearly shows a hood-mounted air scoop, which suggests a forced-induction powerplant is under the hood. However, this disagrees with earlier reports that the GT350 will be all motor, using a naturally aspirated engine to send massive horsepower to the rear wheels. Our spies also point out the functional vent aft of the front wheels to allow for better airflow, and the massive quad exhaust pipes can be seen, clear as day.
Expect to see the Mustang GT350 in April, when it debuts at the New York Auto Show in conjunction with the Pony's 50th anniversary. In the meantime, have a look at our gallery above to see the latest shots of the hot Mustang out testing.
2015 Ford Mustang already under recall, but just 53 units
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Ford has issued a small - but significant - recall for one of its spotlight cars: the 2015 Mustang.
The recall affects just 53 cars, with 50 in the United States and three in Canada. Ford said the passenger side safety belt buckle tension sensor may not have been calibrated properly by the supplier. This could lead to "misclassification" of the passenger seat occupant, and could cause the airbag to deploy improperly.
A Ford spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. In a statement, the automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries, and dealers will replace the buckle assembly at no cost to customers. The cars affected were built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan from Aug. 18 to Oct. 2.
Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]
Wed, 29 May 2013Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires.
