This is a no reserve auction for my 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty. It has the 6.4L Turbo Diesel engine and yes it really only has 49K miles. It's just getting broke-in. The truck is equipped with a Bullydog power programmer, B&W fifth wheel hitch, 100 gallon auxiliary fuel tank (tied to the fuel system for long hauls), and helper leaf springs for heavier loads.

The truck is in very good condition inside and out. There are a couple small dents which I have pictured, the paint is glossy, and the interior very clean. The interior is kind of a clay color. I don't really call it tan or gray - it's kind of a color in between gray and tan. The carpets and seats are clean. There is minor leather wear on the steering wheel and on the edge of the drivers seat (which I tried to show in the pictures). The truck is also equipped with bed liner and bed floor liner for extra protection. It has the trailer tow package and the factory auxiliary jacks in the dash. The in-dash CD player is a 6 disc changer and is equipped with satellite radio capability.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the truck. I am the second owner and the original owner only used it to pull a camper trailer between Texas and Mississippi. The only thing I have pulled with it is a 16' flatbed car trailer one time. The truck has always been in the south so the under carriage is clean.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

I do have the truck listed locally for sale as well so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.

I may consider delivering the truck up to 300 miles if the selling price goes high enough. However, all bidders should plan arranging their own shipping or pickup. The winning bidder must submit a $500 deposit through paypal within 24hrs of auction end and full payment must be received within 7 days of auction end. Final payment must be by cash, paypal, or certified funds.

Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.

Watch how Ford torture-tested the 2015 F-150

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in the United States for the past 37 years, and the best-selling vehicle outright for the past 32. That's quite a legacy, and thus, it's no surprise that Ford worked super-duper-extra hard on creating the all-new, aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
During an event at the company's headquarters in Dearborn, MI this week, we were able to see all of the ways that Ford endurance tests, not just the new F-150, but all of its vehicles. From examining things like light exposure to interior materials and paint finishes, to making sure that corrosion absolutely does not happen when steel components come in contact with aluminum panels in the new truck. The goal: ensure that the new F-150 is nothing short of "Built Ford Tough."
But that's only a small part of the story. Of course, the new F-150 has to be able to withstand whatever a pickup buyer might throw at it - and truck buyers arguably demand the most from their vehicles. So in an effort to convey just what the new F-150 had to go through before being given the final go-ahead, Ford has released a series of videos, showing how its new halo truck was indeed torture tested.

Ford car-camo artist works his craft on Australia's new Falcon XR8

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Ford is among the kings of concealment when it comes to test cars. On one recent Mustang SVT mule, the automaker went to the extreme of putting baffles over the exhausts to hide how many there were. Sounds like a lot of work, right? In a new video, the Blue Oval has decided to take fans behind the scenes to show them what it takes to camouflage a prototype. In this case the subject was the recently unveiled 2014 Falcon XR8 for Australia.
Ford's prototype build coordinator Down Under has the very appropriate name of Neil Trickey, and it's his job to obfuscate the important bits of test cars to keep them out of spy shooters' camera lenses. Trickey calls his job a "dark art," and he shows off some of the tricks of his trade in the video. It turns out that the fabric we often see on mules is a type of lycra, but his team isn't above getting out a can of spray paint to conceal parts, too.
Scroll down to watch a video about a man who you probably wish could be a little worse at his job.
