You are looking at a very nice 2006 Ford F-250 FX-4 4X4 6.0 Diesel, Crew Cab, XLT.  This truck currently has 113,989 miles, but is being driven as this auction is going on, so the truck will have a few more miles at the close of the auction.  I purchased this truck in August 2012, and have driven it less than 10K miles since the purchase.  This truck drives and rides great, there are no mechanical issues whatsoever.  I just replaced both batteries with new Interstate batteries this weekend.  As far as any blemishes to the truck, there are a few minor door dings, and 2 small dings on the rear bumper, which are hard to notice.  If you wish to see more photos of the truck than what I have listed, please use the contact seller option on this listing.  You are welcome to come by and drive the truck, or take it to any Ford Dealership to be checked.  This truck will be no disappointment to the new owner.  The reserve on this truck is at a Wholesale price, so bid with confidence.

The exterior of the truck is Wedgewood Blue with Gray cloth interior.  The truck comes with all of the power options, towing package, factory towing and headed side mirrors, factory fog lights, very nice custom seat covers(cost $900.00). This truck has never had any type of programmer installed, the exhaust is factory, as well as all other parts on this truck.  The truck has a nice set of Nitto Terra Grappler All Terrain( 325x70x17) these tires have been rotated at each service.  These tire have better than 60% tread left on them.  Tinted windows, and a bed liner.

I have set this reserve at a Wholesale price; this truck is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early if the truck sells.  If you have a question, please ask me before bidding.  The winner of this auction is responsible for picking up the truck within 7 days unless other arrangements are made with me at the conclusion of the auction.  The buyer is responsible for all shipping cost, and a $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of the conclusion of this auction.  Please see my feedback, I stand behind everything that I see and I describe each item as accurate as possible.

James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 01 Feb 2014

Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.

Ford announces four recalls, 1.4M vehicles affected

Thu, 29 May 2014

Ford is taking a bit of the spotlight away from General Motors, announcing a major group of recall campaigns, covering a total of 1.4 million vehicles built between 2006 and 2013.
Let's start with the big one, which covers the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and, according to The Detroit News, Ford-built Mazda Tribute CUVs. 915,216 vehicles are covered, all of which were built in model years 2008 to 2011. 736,000 vehicles are in the US, while Canada then Mexico make up the vast majority of the remainder. The problem is due to an issue with the torque sensor in the steering column, which could lead to sudden power steering failure. Manual steering would still be available, though.
"Dealers will perform one of three service fixes, depending upon what diagnostic codes are shown when the vehicle is taken to the dealer," Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker wrote to Autoblog in an email. "They will either update software for the power steering control module and the instrument cluster module; replace the torque sensor; or replace the steering column, which includes upgraded power steering control module software."

J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
