Nice, low mile trucks are hard to find so this is your chance to own a VERY nice Ford F150 XLT
crew cab 4X4 with low miles and in great shape inside and out! This F150 is a true 1-owner Florida truck, bought new
right here in Ft. Myers Florida and traded back in at our Chevrolet dealership by the original owner in this shape,
NO auctions! It has a clean Autocheck report showing no accidents or problems and being a true Florida truck there is
NO rust and even the underside is nice and clean, you won't find that on any northern vehicles. It received a great
score of 91 points out of an average rating of between 81-89 points so you know it has a great history. There are a
few nice extra's this truck has including a 2" front leveling kit for a nice look, custom wheels and tires, diamond
tool box, bedliner, running boards, keyless entry and factory hitch that looks to have never been used, which is
nice. Look at those pictures and I promise you it looks every bit this nice in person. The exterior is all original
with a nice deep Ford shine with no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The custom wheels are sporty looking with just a
bit of pitting near the inside, the tires are matching with plenty of tread remaining to help give this Ford a great
look and ride. The windows are tinted as well. The interior is nice and clean and really does look near new
everywhere with no odors. The seats are very comfortable and there is seating for six with plenty of head and legroom
both front and rear. All the power options work great including the ice cold air conditioning and CD stereo. The 4X4
works great as well and it's nice to know it's there should you need it. What a pleasure to drive! The peppy 5.4
Triton V-8 runs like new with no issues and the brakes, suspension and transmission are all nice and tight with no
shakes or rattles. It really is a nice 1-owner truck that has obviously been well cared for and being a true rust
free Florida truck with a great history you are sure to fall in love. I have the factory books and two keys with
remotes. I have great feedback so you can be sure that this vehicle will be just as nice as I am stating.
Should you need help with shipping call me, if you decide to fly into Ft.Myers to pick it up in person I will meet
you at our local airport right here in town. I know buying a vehicle you haven't driven is a little scary so I try to
make it easy as well as fun!! As with all my vehicles, this one was put through a safety check to be sure it is
safe and road worthy. This includes an oil change and an inspection of the brakes, belts, hoses, cooling system,
fluid levels, etc. It's just one more thing I can do to make this a good experience for you. Well, that's my vehicle!
As with all my offerings, you are encouraged to call with any questions @ 239-872-5281. I thank you for your time
and good luck bidding!

In the 1950s and early 60s, the dawn of nuclear power was supposed to lead to a limitless consumer culture, a world of flying cars and autonomous kitchens all powered by clean energy. In Europe, it offered the then-limping continent a cheap, inexhaustible supply of power after years of rationing and infrastructure damage brought on by two World Wars. The development of nuclear-powered submarines and ships during the 1940s and 50s led car designers to begin conceptualizing atomic vehicles. Fueled by a consistent reaction, these cars would theoretically produce no harmful byproducts and rarely need to refuel. Combining these vehicles with the new interstate system presented amazing potential for American mobility. But the fantasy soon faded. There were just too many problems with the realities of nuclear power. For starters, the powerplant would be too small to attain a reaction unless the car contained weapons-grade atomic materials. Doing so would mean every fender-bender could result in a minor nuclear holocaust. Additionally, many of the designers assumed a lightweight shielding material or even forcefields would eventually be invented (they still haven't) to protect passengers from harmful radiation. Analyses of the atomic car concept at the time determined that a 50-ton lead barrier would be necessary to prevent exposure.

As a segment, fullsize vans are stealth-fighter invisible on most consumers' radar. Visit a dealership for any of the four brands that offer them and you'll be lucky to find even one on display. These are commercial vehicles primarily, even more so than pickup trucks. Vans are the shuttles for plumbers, caterers, carpenters, concrete layers, masons, electricians, florists and flooring, and a huge part of this country's productivity is accomplished using them. At the moment, Ford is the 800-pound gorilla in that room - fully 41 percent of commercial vehicles wear a Blue Oval. So when Ford announced three years ago it would be ditching its commercial bread-and-butter E-Series, it meant the Transit that would be replacing the Econoline had huge, 53-year-old shoes to fill. We were still a bit nostalgic about Econoline vans going away until going directly from the Transit first drive in Kansas City to an E-350 airport shuttle. Climb up through the Econoline's tiny double doors and bang your head on the opening, crouch all the way to your seat then enjoy a loud, rattle-prone, creaky, harsh ride on beam-hard seats while struggling to see out the low windows. This is an experience nearly every traveler has had. By comparison, the Transits we'd just spent two days with were every bit of the four decades better they needed to be. It cannot be understated just how much better the Transit is in every single way. The load floor is barely more than knee high. There's a huge side door, and hitting your head on a door opening is nearly impossible. Stand up all the way if you're under six-foot, six-inches - no more half-hunching down the aisle. There are windows actually designed to be looked out of. The ride is buttery smooth, no booming vibration from un-restrained metal panels and no squeaks. Conversations can be held at normal levels rather than yelling over the roar of an ancient V8. The seats are comfortable. The AC is cold. There are cupholders. Enough anecdote-laying, what's in a Transit? We're talking about a very fullsized unibody van that's enjoyed a 49-year history in Ye Olde Europe. This latest iteration is part of the "One Ford" initiative, so it was designed as a global offering from the get-go, eschewing the body-on-frame construction the E-Series has used since 1975. Instead, the Transit integrates a rigid ladder frame into an overall frame construction made of high-strength cold-rolled and boron steel. The suspension is a simple but well-tuned Macpherson strut array up front with a rear solid axle and leaf springs.

One Step at a Time Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another. Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.
