Take look at a nice 2000 Ford F-150 pickup.  This truck comes quipped with a removable utility box/topper (take a look, 4 bolts will remove).  The mileage on this truck is very reasonable for the year at 103k.  The motor is very powerful, clean running, quiet 5.4 L V-8 with an automatic transmission.  Brakes are in working condition with no noticeable noises and stopping straight, with tight steering. The transmission shifts smoothly and has a power button to turn off the Overdrive when pulling or you are in need of extra power.  The truck rides nice and smooth down the road with no exhaust noise.  The glass is good, no cracks.  Also a very nice addition to this truck is Air Conditioning, A/C, which is pleasant on those hot and humid days on the job.  The tires have very good tread, not brand new, but not far from new.

The interior of the truck is in used, but good shape, the blue cloth seats are clean, cup holders are located on the dash console, and the windows are manual.  The electrical gauges and systems all appear to be in good operating condition.  There is a laptop work station installed in the cab with power ran to the computer support for mobile connections or laptop power.  This can be removed easily with just a few screws if the new owner doesn't use it.

This truck came from a satellite installation company that was liquidated by a new owner.  The truck is well equipped for construction or installation businesses.  The box is quipped with a ladder lift assist on both sides, pull-out drawers and service stations, and plenty of storage, all secured with a locking system for security on the job site.  The caution light is in working condition, and the storage tube located on the top is very useful for tools of extra length that need to be transported.

The body of the truck has minimal rust, mainly on the bumpers (see the pictures).  The bumpers have been repainted but look very presentable.  The paint is in good condition, glossy white, with the normal surface scratches that can be expected in a close up look of a service truck.

For many eBay buyers, transport of vehicle is a concern, please contact us and we may have a solution at a price and in the time frame that can work for you.  But as always, transport is at the responsibility of the new buyer.

All of our vehicles, local or on eBay are sold As-Is with no warranty.  If the new buyer wants a warranty or otherwise, these are the responsibility of the buyer.

Don't let this buy get away, this truck is priced to sell at the end of the auction, the truck is worth the money and the utility box is a very nice addition if it is used or removed and resold.  Bid with confidence and secure this great deal for yourself!!

Bill Ford op-ed argues we can't just build and sell more of the same cars

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

It's hardly a secret that the auto industry is undergoing an enormous, tectonic shift in the way it thinks, builds cars and does business. Between alternative forms of energy, a renewed focus on low curb weights and aerodynamic bodies, the advent of driverless and autonomous cars and the need to reduce the our impact on the environment, it's very likely that the car that's built 10 years down the line will be scarcely recognizable when parked next to the car from 10 years ago.
Few people are as able to explain the industry's many upcoming changes and challenges as clearly as William Clay Ford, Jr., better known as Bill Ford. The 57-year-old currently sits as the executive chairman of the company his great-grandfather, Henry Ford, founded over 110 years ago.
In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Ford explains that the role of automakers is, necessarily, going to change to suit the needs of the future world. That means changing the view of not just the automobile, but the automaker. As Ford explains it, automakers will "move from being just car and truck manufacturers to become personal-mobility companies."

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.
Hop up top for our live gallery of images from the floor of the Detroit Auto Show.

Does the new 2015 Ford Mustang have a burnout control system?

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Whether it's lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking, most of the electronic systems we see emerging on new vehicles focus on safety. But there are some there just for enthusiasts. We're talking about systems like automatic throttle blipping for perfect downshifts, or launch control to get that textbook acceleration from a standstill. But the latest system could prove just the opposite of the latter.
Although it has given us most of the details, Ford is still keeping certain elements of its new Mustang secret. But emerging reports may have the skinny on one system which Ford is trying is darnedest to keep under its hat for the time being. That, according to unnamed sources cited by Motor Authority, is burnout control.
The system is reportedly designed to help novices execute the perfect smokey burnout - sort of like launch control, but specifically the opposite. The system could, according to elaborative speculation, lock the front brakes while spooling up the engine to optimal revolutions before dumping (or indicating the driver to do dump) the clutch. A cloud of tire smoke and a long pair of skid marks would then ensue.
