1972 Ford F-100 Sport Custom  390 Big Block  Automatic  with  factory air.

This truck is all original except for the radio.  Has had only 3 owners.  Still have original owners manual, etc.  For the past 13 years it has been in a 3 sided carport and used whenever needed.  Always reliable.  When a kid pulled in front of my Silverado, I used it daily for 2 months.  Or if it sits for a month waiting to take trash to the dump, it's ready for that chore also.  A few months ago, took it to Salem, (5 hour drive roundtrip), and as always, no problems.  Shows 79,000 miles, and no way to verify if it's actual.  It does not smoke a bit, and may use a quart at the most between changes.  Runs strong, shifts great, sounds nice.  All guages work, all lights work, even the cargo!  Surface rust ONLY.  No bubbles, holes, pitting, etc.  Not even in the locking "tool box" in the bed.  I included a photo of the roof.  I was going to primer it, then decided to let the buyer see it as-is.  It is smooth as glass.  Speaking of glass, all is good EXCEPT for an hour glass shape in the windshield.  Barely noticable, but you will.  Tags are good for at least another year.  Les Schwab tires are at 70-75%.  The original under dash A.C. has'nt worked in years, but I have no reason to believe it may with freon and a belt.  The only bad part is a cyclone fence jumped in front of the lil' lady when she was backing up.  It took off the trim, but the largest piece is fine, the smaller (door) may be fixable.  The indentation it left is very shallow as I hope you can see from the photos.  Even with that flaw, I get compliments quite often.  It is available for inspection anytime we are available.  If you choose a transport company for delivery, I will be happy to meet them at a convenient location.  Ask any questions as I'm sure I forgot some items.  Thanks.

2015 Ford Mustang stars in bizarrely awesome '80s aerobics video

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

For reasons we can't comprehend, here's a music video starring the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang and a number of dancers dressed and styled in the most stereotypically 1980s way possible. The dancers then take part in a male-versus-female dance off. Again, we've no idea why it exists.
It's weird, and for the second time in two weeks, we're sat at our computer wondering, "What are we watching?" That said, it does show the new Mustang from a number of angles, and it's one of the first car-related YouTube videos we've seen that's available in a 4K, ultra-high-def stream.
Take a look below, and let us know what you think in Comments.

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.

70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
