1957 Ford F100
Classic 1957 Ford F100 Custom Cab, Runs and drives great, has rebuilt
stock 292 Y-Block v8 with original 4 speed on the floor manual. A very
desirable model with strong v8 and the transmission you want. It is a
very good candidate for a restore. Or just drive it as is. It has been
my daily driver but purchased new truck. Small amount of rust that has
been addressed by previous owner. Body is very straight for a 57.
People love the ratrod look. Has been lowered a few inches by removing a
few leaves. They are included with sale. The 2 barrel intake and carb
has been replaced by 4 barrel intake and holley carb. Old 2 barrel
intake and carb included. All gauges and lights work so you wont run out
of gas. Spedo inaccurate sometimes. Extra small fuel cell installed
under bed. With a small amount of body work and paint this could be a
real money maker. Lots of newer parts, newer clutch cylinder and lines,
new battery, new throttle linkages, sure there's more i'm forgetting.
Oh its also Dirty, Central Oregon high desert dirt. Its good at
preserving old cars.Video of cold start and test drive - Taken day of first listing jan 19th, - youtube search - ontheoars 1957 F100 292 Y-Block V8 Cold Start 500$ non refundable deposit at auction end, Full payment within a week of auction end. |

Ford Mustang SVT caught looking fierce on the 'Ring
Tue, 15 Jul 2014The next-generation Ford Mustang SVT is one of the most anticipated performance cars of the moment. We've already seen it testing multiple times, but it has always been covered is some very heavy camouflage. However, Ford has just given us our best view yet of the new muscle car. According to our spy photographer, the Mustang was at the Nürburgring for high-speed testing, which meant that the Blue Oval had to remove most of the heavy obfuscation that the SVT has worn previously.
The stylish, more revealing camo makes picking out some of the more interesting details about the SVT rather easy. Starting from the front, there is the big hood scoop to feed cold air to its still mysterious engine. You can also immediately make out the model's new grille and lower front air dam. It has a vertical piece running from the bottom of the hood all the way to the ground. The aggressive styling almost gives the 'Stang the look of two fangs ready to bite down. The hood seam is even taped off here, which shows us its outline.
Around the side, it appears that the front and rear fenders are wider than stock, and the sills are certainly much larger. You can also just make out the SVT's bigger brakes behind its black wheels with a polished lip. Finally, at the rear, things appear mostly stock other than the diffuser that the exhaust outlets nestle into.
Watch how a Ford Raptor rolls down the assembly line in Dearborn
Sun, 30 Mar 2014Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Click through below to see how the truck is born, with a surprise cameo playing the part of delivery driver at the end.
Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.
