This is the first time this Ford F1 has been for sale since purchased from the dealer in 1951.

Single family owned since Grandpa bought it new. Powered by a flat head V-8 and mated with a 3 speed manual transmission on the floor . I love the flat heads because they are so quite and last for ever. Miles listed is what is shown on new gauges, True miles unknown, not advertising 19,xxx original miles.
This is a rust free truck with a great body. All original except the running boards were replaced.

All new interior. Original bench seat, reworked and finished in high quality leather. New gauges compete with turn signal indicators. Head lights, Brake lights, Turn signals all work and ready to go. Wipers are new and work as well. Please be aware that while the wipers work, I did not put in the washer fluid bag and pump. I figure this truck is not going to be taken out in the rain and mud.

Originally came with a AM Radio, The dash has never been cut. I put in a radio delete plate and put in a sound system that is hidden in the glove box. Just hook up your phone or tablet and enjoy the tunes. Speakers and unit have been mounted securely in the card board trim, no metal was screwed or cut.

Original wheels with center caps and nice tires. The wooden bed is in new condition and really take this truck up a big notch. The pictures and video was taken prior to the spare wheel was mounted underneath the bed. Red painted steel wheel with a new tire mounted. I have a couple pictures on my zenfolio page.

All the chrome is bright and without pits or age issues. The glass is good and the seals are new.   Over 90 photos of the truck including under body and frame can be found here: sunvalleyautosales.zenfolio.com/1951fordf100  *(COPY AND PASTE IN A NEW BROWSER)

A couple points on the photos.   I added the wood side boards so not all the photos are shown with them.   They come with the truck and are not drilled into the bed, so use them or not.   I love the look but it's a personal choice, just a added bonus.

Engine has been rebuilt and runs quite and smooth with no smoking. Transmission is a three speed H pattern on the floor. This truck is a pleasure to view and a complete blast to drive! Ready to go to show or around the back roads.

2013 Shelby GT350

Fri, 31 May 2013

Shelby is a name as synonymous with the Ford Mustang as marshmallows are with campfires. But unlike the short-lived sugary confection that is prepared on a stick, the late Carroll Shelby's name on the placard means added performance and exclusivity. Launched in 1965, the automaker's celebrated early cars were in production for a limited run - today, a mint concours-quality 1965 Shelby GT350 can sell for upwards of $350,000.
To coincide with the 45th anniversary of the original Shelby GT350, Shelby American reintroduced the GT350 in 2011. Like the original, it was only offered in white with blue stripes. Customers were offered a choice between naturally aspirated (440 horsepower) and two levels of supercharging (525 horsepower with a warranty or 624 horsepower without). The manufacturer calls the GT350 a "post-title" package, a term that means it starts out life as a stock Mustang and is modified outside Ford's factory (this is in contrast to the Shelby GT500, which is a standard Ford production car).
As the GT350 enters its third year, Shelby has made several changes. Mechanically, Wilwood brakes replace Baer units and Recaro seats and a tinted glass roof are on the options list. Cosmetically, the vehicle is now offered in most of the Blue Oval's factory colors, new multispoke wheels are available in Satin Black or Bright Silver Metallic finish, and customers can choose between Satin Black, Silver or Gloss White stripes (or Azure Blue Metallic on Performance White or Ingot Silver). Aesthetically, the look of the car has also changed somewhat - keen eyes will note that it actually appears more 'stock' than it did last year.

Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.

Ex-PR chief Vines accuses Ford of bugging cars, phones

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Jason Vines, former head of communications at Ford among other automakers, is accusing the Blue Oval of bugging his company phone and his car during the Firestone tire recall for the Explorer in 2001. The allegations have come to light in Vines' upcoming book What Did Jesus Drive? Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.
According to The Detroit News, which has an advance copy of the book, Vines (pictured above) claims that after leaving the company, someone with security within Ford advised him that he had been bugged around the time of the recall. The allegations don't stop there, though. Vines further contends that he might not have been the only one to get this treatment, noting that then-general counsel John Rintamaki also believed he was being listened to.
According to The Detroit News, even if it had been a company phone, recording Vines without his knowledge still would have been a felony under Michigan law.
