THIS IS A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. IT IS IN FAIR CONDITION. I JUST PUT A TRANMISSION IN IT WHICH COST ME 2200. IT HAS A COUPLE SMALL DINGS AND SCATCHES. I DID NOT CLEAN IT. SELLING IT AS IS. IT NEEDS A TUNE UP, OIL CHANGE AND A GOOD CLEANING. ALSO THE FRONT WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED SO WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED BEFORE YOU GET IT INSPECTED. I BOUGHT A DIFFERENT CAR WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS GETTING FIXED SO I DO NOT NEED THIS ONE NOW. IT WAS A COP CAR BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. YOU CAN PUT PLATES ON IT AND DRIVE. SOMETIMES IT SOUNDS A LITTLE OFF LIKE MAYBE ONE COIL IS BAD. BUT I WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS ANY WHERE. I JUST TOOK IT ON A 600 MILE ROUND TRIP TO PICK UP A LOAD WITH MY TRAILOR. I REALLY LIKE THIS SUV BUT NEED THE MONEY MORE THEN HAVING IT JUST SET AROUND. ASK ANY QUESTIONS. I CAN DELIVER FOR A FEE. I STILL HAVE IT ON THE ROAD SO I COULD DRIVE IT TO YOU. I CAN ALSO PICK YOU UP AT THE BUS STATION OR AIRPORT IF NEEDED.

Ford's Mulally now said to be in lead for Microsoft CEO job
Sun, 29 Sep 2013There have been rumors that Ford CEO Alan Mulally could assume the top job over at Microsoft, whose CEO, Steve Ballmer, will retire within the year. Mulally hasn't come out and said that he's considering moving to Microsoft after (or before) his contract with Ford through 2014 ends, but sources in the know say he's the front-runner to become the tech giant's CEO and has opened up to the idea more in recent weeks, AllThingsD reports.
Mulally is no stranger to Washington, where Microsoft is located, having worked in the state for Seattle-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes as CEO years ago. He also recently was an adviser to Ballmer in an effort to realign the company's management structure to help it become more competitive in a fast-changing computer hardware and software market. And when Ford developed its Sync digital interface, it tapped Microsoft to provide the operating system, Microsoft Auto. Perhaps the least crucial connection - but nonetheless an important one - is that Mulally still owns a house in the Seattle area, and it's been said he wants to return there, according to AllThingsD.
A main challenge Microsoft's next CEO will face is how to manage the company's numerous, fractured operations and, eventually, streamline them. But even on this front, Mulally has experience; after all, it was he who ushered in an era of global Ford vehicles, after the automaker had become complacent developing and selling vehicles by region leading up to the economic recession of 2008-2009.
Ford ditching Microsoft in favor of BlackBerry QNX for next-gen Sync?
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Ask the average consumer - at least, those who follow the goings-on in the automotive industry - which carmaker they'd most closely associate Microsoft, and the answer you'd most likely get would be Ford. The Blue Oval automaker, after all, was at the forefront of bringing Microsoft technology into cars with its pioneering Sync system, and, though reality didn't turn out as such, Ford's CEO was recently touted as a potential future head of the Redmond-based software giant. But that relationship, according to the latest reports, could be coming to an end.
Alan Mullaly kiboshed the idea of leaving Dearborn for Redmond, but more importantly Ford is tipped to be ditching Microsoft in developing its next-generation Sync system. In its place, Ford is expected to partner with BlackBerry's QNX division.
Now, before you go balking "BlackBerry?! But they're finished!" consider that QNX is (or at least was) an independent entity that Research In Motion (as BlackBerry's Ontario-based parent company was then known) just happened to have bought back in 2010. QNX provides control systems to everything from nuclear power plants and UAVs to automakers like Audi, BMW and Porsche.
What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
