2006 Ford Escape Limited Sport Utility 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
North Miami Beach, Florida, United States
Greetings to whom this auction may concern,
I am selling my 2006 Ford Escape V6 3.0L front wheel drive Limited edition. Features: 3.0l V6 engine Limited edition Automatic transmission Leather seats Power driver seat (passenger seat is manual) Power windows Power locks Power mirrors Auto-dimming rear view mirror Sun roof Roof racks (I forgot to put them back on when taking pictures but they are still there) Spare tire Physical Condition: It is in very good condition, no dents, no major scratches, or no major dings. There is a tear in the front driver seat. The front passenger seat has the stitching came a little undone (this can still be fixed if with a needle and the proper high strength threading.) Mechanical Condition: One of the spark plugs or ignition coils went bad, replaced them both and works fine now. Was a 5 minute swap. The maintenance schedule suggests replace them at 100,000 miles so probably a good idea to change them all. Engine and transmission work fine. All electronics function. Tires still have a lot of thread wear left. All light bulbs work (fog lights work too). Reason I am selling: I moved to Colorado and decided to buy a 4 wheel drive SUV because of the snow. Terms: I already moved to Colorado and the title is signed over. My friend is an automotive dealer and the Escape is being kept at his warehouse. This Escape has to be picked up September 30th, or a $100 per month storage fee is charged beginning October 1st (to cover my the storage fees I am charged). A $250 non-refundable deposit must be PayPal to me within 48 hours (this covers eBay listing fee of $125 and the storage fee of $100). Upon picking up my Escape my friend will transfer the title into your name {$92 title transfer fee (this transfers the title from my name into your name) and 6% sales tax, both payable to the auto-tag agency). This must be done, I am sorry I cannot risk the liability of the Escape being driven around with the title still being in my name. You may pay with cash or cashier's check upon pickup of my SUV. This is a no-reserve auction, I am simply trying to sell my old car, this is a final sale as-is. If there is anything you may inquire my, Contact information: Robert - (786) 344-8160. Please do not call between 7:30 AM through 5 PM MST, I will be at work. You may text me at any time and I will answer as soon as possible. |

Ford to add 5,000 US jobs plus 3 plants and 23 vehicles globally
Fri, 13 Dec 2013
16 of the 23 new launches will be for the North American market.
2014 is shaping up to be a big year for Ford Motor Company, as it's announced an onslaught of 23 new global product launches which will help create 5,000 new jobs in the US. As part of the new product push, three more manufacturing plants will be opened.
MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms
Mon, 17 Jun 2013Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
2015 Ford Expedition stays the course, adds EcoBoost power
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The era of the body-on-frame, fullsize SUV is rapidly vanishing in favor of smaller, unibody crossovers. However, Ford still sees life in the segment with the reveal of the updated 2015 Expedition, now available (solely) with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. The new truck will make its public debut at the 2014 DFW Auto Show in Dallas on February 19.
The loss of the previous 5.4-liter V8 in favor of Ford's 3.5-liter, direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine might rankle some of the Expedition's fans, but Ford claims that the change gives the SUV better fuel economy, more power and increased low-end torque than before. Unfortunately, official engine specifications won't be released until later this year, but Ford says engine output will be similar to the 365 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque that this powerplant produces in other applications. The EcoBoost is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV now uses electrically assisted power steering, for an even greater fuel economy advantage. Ford claims this also allows for better maneuverability at low speeds and better feel at high speeds.
Exterior styling is basically unchanged for 2015. The front end has the same three-bar chrome grille and headlight design, but the lower air dam gets added chrome and LED lamps. The rear gets more brightwork on the hatch, and there's a chrome-tipped exhaust pipe. As before, Ford is offering the Expedition in two wheelbase lengths - 119 inches and 131 inches. A new, optional, continuously controlled damping system alters suspension settings constantly based on 46 parameters and offers comfort, normal and sport modes (just like the Expedition's sister, the recently refreshed and decidedly less-attractive Lincoln Navigator).
