General Terms and Conditions

Pennsylvania buyers must pay sales tax and tag fees. Out-of-state buyers are responsible for their own taxes in their own states. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. There are numerous reliable shipping companies that specialize in inter-state vehicle shipment. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours after auction end. The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder, or sell it otherwise. If you are financing, make sure that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, we will gladly cooperate. Please keep in mind that no USED vehicle is absolutely perfect. It may or will have some minor normal wear or minor imperfections (interior, exterior) as it is used and has been driven. When buying a used car, one should expect a certain amount of wear, use, and flaws that one would not expect from buying a new car. A vehicle that is eight (8) years old will show more wear than one that is three (3) years old. Please remember that you are bidding on a quality pre-owned automobile. Every effort is made to accurately and fairly describe our vehicles. Any errors, if any, are unintentional and, at best, should be minor. We will do our best to openly disclose any noticeable defects in our auctions. Some common signs of wear might include door dings, scratches, dents, paint touch-ups, rock chips, bumper marks, paint flaws, windshield stone marks, normal tire and wheel wear, electrical (light bulbs, switches, etc.) wear, brake wear, suspension, minor cracks and mechanical wear (normal for mileage). Please keep in mind that mileage on some vehicles may be slightly higher as they may be driven/test driven during the listing. Please note that some used vehicles may not have floor mats, a second set of keys, keyless remote, or owner manual; those items can always be obtained by you through a dealer or EBay at a relatively low cost. We do not guarantee remote controls and power antennas. We hand pick all of our vehicles and only buy the ones that will bring you the satisfaction you deserve.

Fees and Taxes

Buyer is responsible for any processing fees as well as any fees for obtaining In-Transit tags, notary services, messenger, title transfer, etc. Seller will not be responsible for any of these fees. These fees are a fixed amount for all car-buyers and therefore are non-negotiable.

Warranty

This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.

2014 Ford Transit Connect configurator fires up for the whole family

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The second-generation Ford Transit Connect is almost upon us, and to get work- and family-oriented customers ready for the new model, Ford has launched a configurator for both van and wagon versions. Both body styles will go on sale early next year with the base TC Van starting at $22,000, but customers wanting side windows and rear seats will have to pony up at least an extra $3,000 for the TC Wagon.
Ford is definitely looking to get back into the family van business with the 2014 TC Wagon offering three available trim levels, two engines and the choice between five- and seven-passenger seating (with two wheelbases). Like many recent Ford products, a fancy Titanium trim level is offered, and opting for it will cost you - this trim starts at $29,000, and we were able to spec it out with a panoramic roof, tow package and front and rear parking sensors for a little over $33,000.
Businesses looking for a small, fuel-efficient work vehicle now get more options on the TC Van like the choice of split, hinged rear doors or a liftgate (with or without glass), a long wheelbase ($1,000) and Ford's CrewChief vehicle tracking system ($925). Fully loaded, this van is still costs less than the fullsize E-Series. On both Van and Wagon, the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine is a $795 option, but it is only offered on short-wheelbase models and Ford has yet to release power or fuel economy specs yet. With the standard 2.5-liter engine, the TC will get up to 21 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

2015 Ford Expedition

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

While the tide of bigger-is-better SUVs has been in recession since, well, the recession, fullsize utes are still very much with us. Conservative creatures that have been loathe to evolve, fullsize SUVs nonetheless remain enduringly popular among large families, livery customers, and anyone with lots of friends, relatives, and toys to tug around. With respect to Toyota and Nissan, the only players that really matter in the segment are the new-for-2015 Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, the GMC Yukon/Yukon XL, and this truck: the Ford Expedition, the latest evolution of which we just drove for the first time at a press preview in West Virginia.
Unlike the General Motors utilities, the standard Expedition and the long-wheelbase Expedition EL are not all-new, but rather are heavily refreshed versions of the same basic truck Ford started selling way back in 2007. The front fascia is where most of the exterior update happens for 2015, with a new three-bar grille design, halogen projector headlamps, and new bumper design with available LED foglamps. Despite all the new bits, the facelift breaks exactly zero ground in terms of design; in fact, it already looks dated, and will only look older once the macho 2015 F-150 bows later this year. Even less has changed out back, where the tailgate gets a wide chrome band spanning the taillamps and a new chrome exhaust tip. Other exterior changes are generally limited to colors and an all-new wheel lineup that includes a gleaming set of six-spoke 22-inch polished wheels on high-end models.
Speaking of high-end models, a new Platinum trim is positioned above the cowboy-spec King Ranch model for 2015. Both the Platinum and King Ranch get their own color combos and exterior trim finishes (satin metal for the Platinum, chrome everywhere and ginormous badges for the King Ranch) and posh, leather-lined interiors with their own aesthetic. The Expedition family also now includes a price-leading XL model, as well as XLT and Limited grades.

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
