I thought this day would never come... I vowed to own this truck till I or the truck was dead! I've owned this truck since early 2003, and have babied every inch since new! This is the cleanest 2nd gen Dodge Diesel you will find, period! I challenge anyone to find one nicer than this, I guarantee you won't! 2002 is hands down the best year for the second gen; HO 24V Cummins with a NV5600 six-speed transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes; gets no better! This is a head-turner in Dodge bright Flame Red, everything else is polished aluminum, chrome or stainless. Every aftermarket modification was done absolutely tasteful and meant to retain the "Factory Look", this includes: Edge Jammer Stage 1 injectors, Edge Juice chip with Attitude display, K&N Air filter (factory box), 4" Mandrel bent T304 Stainless exhaust with 6" polished tip from the turbo back. Inside you have Eclipse fold down CD deck with an 8 Disc CD changer mounted under center seat, 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch 225 Amps, Diamond Audio Carbon fiber speakers with a custom enclosure for a JL Audio 10w6 10" subwoofer (Custom Rams Head Grill). American Racing polished aluminum Mohave wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler All-Terrain tires. Luverne Stainless Tube steps with custom diamond plate inserts (eliminates rock chips on rockers). Polished aluminum Pro Tech tool box. Reese Brake control, Reese 5th wheel rails for the Gooseneck trailer mount or any Reese 5th wheel hitch assembly. Factory Dodge Tow Mirrors. Nice dealer undercoating, this truck has never been driven in winter, no rust anywhere at all. This truck has never been in any accident or fender bender whatsoever, not one panel has ever been re-painted; you are looking at 100% original factory paint on every square inch of this truck! This truck has had all oil changes done by me or by the Dodge dealer. I had the dealer install a South Bend Clutch to hold the power this beast puts out! This is the best running Dodge Cummins I've ever been around, plenty of power but not over the top. This truck does not drip any fluid whatsoever of any kind, the motor, tranny and t-case bottom sides are dry; it has never dripped one drop on my garage floor. It's been garaged it's entire life, never left outside. This needs nothing, everything works, I've never had one issue with this truck; mechanical or otherwise. This is a true "DIAMOND", you couldn't find another one this nice if you had two lifetimes to search. But I beg you not to take my word for it, or the pictures on eBay; if you're at all serious- get a plane ticket and get here to see for yourself because if you've been on the search for the "holy grail" of gen two Dodge Diesel trucks you will never forgive yourself for missing this one! You have to understand that I will not be selling this at any less than a premium so if you're going to own it, plan on spending some $$$, bid to win! For anyone very serious I will send more pictures at your request. Serious bidders only! I will cancel any zero feedback bidders!

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.

2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
