Up for bid is a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 pickup. It is an extended cab with a short bed. I am selling this truck because I recently purchased a 2500 diesel. This truck is driven daily and is in good running condition. The condition is what can be expected for a well maintained 17 year old truck with 151,000 miles on it. It is a Black and Driftwood color combo with a tan interior. It has a bedliner, an aftermarket air intake system and front wind deflectors. As far as I know it has not been in any accidents, I am the second owner. I purchased it about 2 years ago in upstate NY where it was owned by an older gentleman. It does have the typical rust found on a vehicle from the Northeast. The interior is in very good condition with the exception of the drivers seat which is worn. It has a factory AM/FM/CD/Cassette Player. It passed a NY State Inspection in April at which time the front brakes were replaced as well as a front wheel bearing. It also had the water pump replaced in June. The tires have about 40% of the tread remaining. Buyer will be responsible for picking up the truck which is located in Smithtown, Long Island, NY. 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport
Tue, 29 Jan 2013We won't beat around the bush: The all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger is not a brand new car. This generation launched in 2011, AWD models and all. But for 2013, Chrysler has added an optional sport package to the AWD model, available with both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the sweet, sweet 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The upgrades for this new sport pack are mainly cosmetic; a gloss black grille, new 19-inch alloy wheels and body-colored rear spoiler make up the list of exterior changes. Inside, there are new sport seats and paddle shifters, and the eight-speed automatic transmission has been reflashed for better performance.
But because vehicles like the Dodge Charger mainly stick out in our minds as being rear-drive bruisers, Chrysler wanted to give us the opportunity to test out the LX platform's foul-weather prowess. And perhaps no place more appropriate to test such a system was way up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the dead of winter.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
2014 Dodge Durango priced from $29,795*
Wed, 14 Aug 2013With all the new updates the Dodge Durango is getting for 2014, one thing that Dodge isn't changing on its big SUV is the starting price. Just like the current model year, the 2014 Dodge Durango will be priced from $29,795 (*not including $995 for destination).
This price is for the base SXT model, but the 2014 Durango is also offered in a new Limited trim level (replacing the Crew) as well as the sporty R/T and the luxurious Citadel. The Durango Limited starts at $35,995 (an increase of $800 over the 2013 Crew), while the R/T now starts at $38,995 (up $2,500). The top-of-the-line Durango Citadel will start at $40,995 - an increase of $1,000.
The many improvements made to the 2014 Durango include revised exterior styling, added in-cabin tech and an eight-speed automatic transmission (expected to return better fuel economy). Dodge is saying that the V6 models will get 25 miles per gallon on the highway while V8 models are expected to score 23-mpg highway, but there are no official EPA numbers to report yet.
