1973 Dodge Dart Sport.

I am selling this great running Dodge Dart. It has the original 340 motor and matching transmission. The color is petty blue. I would rate the paint job as a driver condition, not show condition. There is no rust on this vehicle. It runs and drives very well. There are no leaks and no smoke. Since I bought this vehicle I have installed a new holly 640 carburetor, a new heavy duty 4-core radiator a new gas tank, and fuel lines. I also put in new carpet and a headliner. The result is a great running beautiful collector car. The only reason why I'm selling it is I have no place to keep it. It has been garage kept for the past 10 years. Please look at all the photographs/videos and email me with any questions you may have. If you are a bidder with no feedback, please contact me before bidding.

$1,000 PayPal down payment within 24 hours within winning required. Balance to be paid within the next 7 days via certified check or wire transfer.

Please do not bid if you do not plan to buy this vehicle. I am available by phone at 505-660-2158 to answer any questions. Buyer is responsible for shipping, the vehicle is drivable.

Don't hesitate to drive it home!

Chrysler recalling 2009-2010 Ram 1500, Dodge Dakota pickups over axle pinion nut

Mon, 08 Oct 2012

Chrysler is issuing a recall for the 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks due to improper installation of the rear axle pinion nut. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 44,300 trucks are affected by the recall, and there have been 12 confirmed incidents including one crash.
The issue on both trucks is that the pinion nut is loosening on some trucks due to a lack of thread adhesive, and it is causing the rear axle to lock up resulting in loss of vehicle control. NHTSA's recall notice says that eight incidents occurred at speeds over 35 miles per hour and most also exhibited driveshaft failures as well since the loss of the pinion nut would cause the gear to separate from the driveshaft. In one complaint, the driveshaft separated from the rear axle and punctured the gas tank.
Chrysler will begin sending out recall notices to affected owners in November, but scroll down to see the official NHTSA notice.

2013 Dodge Challenger V6 recalled for fire risk, owners asked not to drive

Sun, 17 Mar 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall for the V6 version of the 2013 Dodge Challenger (as pictured above in 2012MY) over the possibility of a wiring harness that could short circuit and lead to a fire. Owners of these V6 Challengers built from November 2012 through January 2013 are being urged to contact dealers immediately and, in the meantime, not to drive their cars or park in or near any buildings.
Chrysler estimates around 2,500 potentially affected Challengers are in owners' hands, while another 1,900 are still sitting on dealer lots. The total number of recalled vehicles is 4,459.
So far, Chrysler says that seven fires have been reported - none resulting in injuries. The company is instructing vehicle owners to contact their dealer to find out if their vehicle is included in the recall, but owners can also find the build date information of their vehicle by checking the label in the driver's door jamb.

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack adds power and noise, with a warranty

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in.
With three stages of mods for both the 5.7 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s Challenger (as well as the 5.7-liter Charger and, soon, the four-pot Dart), the Scat Pack cars give drivers all the power, aggression and noise of a heavily modded aftermarket car while maintaining the piece of mind provided by the Dodge warranty.
Power gets bumped up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque with the 6.4-liter Scat Pack, while the 5.7-liter can provide up to 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque to add to the stock engine's 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet. It's the latter engine that can really get some work done, with upgrades ranging from the mundane - intake and exhaust - to the racy, like the ported heads and high-flow headers.
