2004 Dodge Dakota Sport Plus Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 4.7l on 2040-cars
Bonne Terre, Missouri, United States
2004 Dodge Dakota 4X4 I have owned this truck for 2 years and it is a great truck. No rust anywhere, No leaks of any kind. 4X4 works perfect AC works great and have never had any issues. I would never consider selling my truck except for the fact that I bought an RV. I pulled the RV home from an adjoining state and the truck has all kinds of power but I would feel a little better if I had a 1500 or 2500 model just for safety. Truck is not perfect but it is 10 years old. Right front fender flare has a small dent. Inside of tailgate has a small dent that does not hinder it at all. It closes perfect. Engine is STRONG. It is fun to drive and will literally jump out from underneath you. There is a slight lifter noise when you first start it up but it goes away in seconds. It has done this since the day I bought it and my neighbor that I bought it from said it did it the whole time he owned it. Not a bid deal to me. Runs Great!! Check engine light has also been on from day one. Never had it checked. Interior is super nice. I would gladly answer any questions that you might have. I hate to see it go but like I said I need a little bigger truck. Thanks For Looking. I reserve the right to terminate this listing at any time unless it has a bid on it. Truck is also for sale locally. |

Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles
Thu, 14 Feb 2013Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.
2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.

"This is a car that most brands would never bring to market." - Tim Kuniskis
Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis had reason to be confident, perhaps even a bit cocky at the reveal of his brand's newest halo car, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. As he said simply, it's the "quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world."
