1969 Dodge Coronet (Super Bee Clone)
Complete car (minus the motor and transmission) **Restoration has already been started** ::BODY:: The fenders, trunk lid, and doors have had body work PROFESSIONALLY done, and they are currently in primer. The hood is the correct fiberglass A12 six pack hood. The tail panel was recently painted Super Bee correct. The car is from New Mexico so yes, there is surface rust from the sun. Again, SURFACE RUST. The underneath is in excellent shape, and displays no rot or rust. ::INTERIOR:: The interior is the correct Super Bee interior. The rally dash has been painted the correct color black, and there are no cracks or tears in the black dash pads. The floor shift steering column has been painted the correct black. (All of which looks new) The bucket seats have the head rests and a 6 way adjustable track. They are complete but need restored. The back seat is in great shape, it just needs recovered to black. I have brand new floor plates for the bucket seats still in the package. The head liner is brand new and still in the package. The black door panels and arm rests are in excellent shape. All of the body gaskets are brand new, and still in the packages. The majority of everything is there to complete the car minus the motor and transmission. It is a solid New Mexico car that does not need much body work. My intentions were to obviously clone it as a Super Bee and turn it into a street strip vehicle. I have since purchased two other cars, and have been focusing my attention on them, therefore I do not have time for this car, and hate seeing it sit in storage. Call or text me @ 219-798-0448 if you have any questions. |

Dodge hoping Fast & Furious appearance gives Dart a sales jolt [w/video]
Tue, 28 May 2013According to Automotive News, Chrysler is hoping Fast & Furious 6 will be kind to the Dodge Dart. While the compact sedan doesn't actually show up in the film, Dodge has partnered up with the movie franchise for a new ad featuring the Dart.
Chrysler hasn't exactly seen the high sales numbers it was originally hoping for with the new sedan, thanks in part to a couple of missteps. For starters, most early-production vehicles were only offered with a manual transmission. Analysts believe Chrysler squandered around 95 percent of potential Dart sales because automatic transmission options weren't immediately available.
Right now, the Dodge Dart rakes 19th among compact cars, pulling down 31,064 sales through April. Last month was the company's strongest, with 8,099 units moving off of dealer lots. Unfortunately, the model has also been handicapped by its older sister, the Avenger. With Chrysler throwing heavy incentives at the aging sedan, many consumers have taken advantage of a better deal with the slightly larger, more powerful Avenger.
25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat revealed [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Almost immediately after we drove the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we began wondering: what's next? Pumping 707 horsepower into the Challenger seemed so crazy - and so intoxicating - we just assumed that Dodge would try that trick again.
Rumors swirled about a Charger Hellcat. Frankly it makes even more sense than the Challenger version. The Charger is a bigger car, and Dodge has never been shy about dropping monster engines under its hood. Hell (cat), we've seen Charger mules running around town that appeared to be the super sedan.
And finally, it's here. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat was revealed today at a preview event near Detroit, and it will be a centerpiece of the Chrysler display this weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
