THIS IS MY DADS 1969 CORONET 440 PROJECT THAT HE STARTED AND HAS DECIDED TO SELL INSTEAD OF FINISH. AS HARD AS IT IS TO FIND THESE MOPARS, HIS LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. HE BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A GUY IN MISSOURI ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO AND HAS BEEN IN STORAGE IN A HEATED GARAGE EVER SINCE.THIS CAR CAME WITH A 318 IN IT WHICH HE SOLD AND NOW HAS A 440 TO GO WITH THE CAR WITH A 727 TORQUE FLIGHT TRANSMISSION. HE BOUGHT THIS CAR TO DO A TOTAL RESTORATION ON IT AND HAS SINCE RETIRED AND HAS LOSS INTEREST IN THE CAR. THE 440 ENGINE WAS PULLED FROM ANOTHER CAR AND IS JUST SITTING IN THIS CORONET AND NOT HOOKED UP SO I DONT KNOW IF IT RUNS OR NOT.HE HAS BOUGHT A TON OF NEW PARTS FOR THE CAR WHICH WILL COME WITH THE CAR.THE PARTS INCLUDE REAR QUARTERS,TRUNK FLOOR WITH THE RIGHT AND LEFT TRUNK EXTENSIONS,AND A NEW PASSENGER FRONT FLOOR PAN.THE HOOD IS AN R/T BULGE HOOD. THE SEATS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO TEARS. THE STOCK LONG DASH WAS REPLACED WITH A RALLY DASH BUT WILL NEED THE CLUSTERS WHICH HE DONT HAVE. THE HEADLINER AND CARPET WILL NEED REPLACED.THE CAR COMES WITH THE CRAGER SS RIMS AND TIRES THAT ARE ON THE CAR. THE CAR DOES NOT RUN AND WILL NEED TO BE TRAILERED HOME.ALL THE GLASS COMES WITH THE CAR EXCEPT THE WINDSHIELD WHICH WILL NEED REPLACED. 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 glorious horsepower [w/video]
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Hold onto your butts. "600-plus horsepower" is what we were told to expect from the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. But as we've just learned, those were incredibly conservative numbers. Dodge has officially announced that the range-topping Challenger will hit the asphalt with 707 - seven hundred and seven - horsepower, making it the "most powerful muscle car ever."
Of course, 707 hp is only part of the story, as the Hellcat has also been confirmed to produce 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power will run exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that differs from other Challengers. The new gearbox, 8HP90 (rather than the 8HP70) is "upgraded to handle the extra power and torque," says Dan Reid, SRT's manager of product design and motorsports.
We certainly hope you're prepared to spend a ton of money replacing tires.
