1970 Chrysler 300 Rt/se "real U-code Triple Black" on 2040-cars

Year:1970 Mileage:97000
Location:

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE   “U-code Triple Black)

VIN#   JS29U0E108486

440 auto on console (not numbers matching but is an F440HP block which is correct for 1970)

This is an exceptional car with a lot of money spent on the restoration. It is as you can see by the fendertag, a real triple black car.  Sorry but I do not have the build sheet.

This car has all the original body panels and when the restoration was done, a piece of metal a little bit larger than a toonie was the only piece that had to be replaced, and I have that piece.

Had originally bought this car thinking I would keep it as a driver but honestly it is too nice for me to drive and I am going to be looking for another challenger to drive that is not so rare.

I am sure anyone who might be serious about this car already knows the low production of the RT/SE with the 440, and adding the triple black makes it even rarer.

Registered and licensed in Alberta.

Have decided to sell some of my mopars so will have a few others up for sale so you can check my other auctions if you want to see them.

Thanks for looking and please call if you have any questions as I rarely ever check my computer.

I am willing to ship to the USA or overseas as long as any interested parties call me first to discuss shipping.

I do also have a photobucket with more pictures so if you are seriously interested, please give me a call. I am hoping to find someone who can actually come see the car in person as it is even nicer in person than in the pictures.

This car was appraised in the fall of 2013 for $95,000.

Thanks

Dodge Viper GTS-R goes back to old-school livery

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

The Dodge Viper may have been around now for over 20 years, but as far as racing achievements go, 2000 was its finest season. That's when it won the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the GTS class trophy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its second consecutive title in the American Le Mans Series.
Since then, SRT Motorsports hasn't quite had the same success, withdrawing from Le Mans this year and shedding the Dodge name and its emblematic red and white livery for the SRT badge and a silver snakeskin theme. But now that the Viper is back under the Dodge banner, so too is the racing team returning to its classic livery.
Starting from the six-hour race at Watkins Glen next week, both the No. 91 and No. 93 Viper GTS-Rs will wear the red base color with twin white racing stripes that its more accomplished forebears wore on circuits around the world. And with it, maybe the Viper will return once again to the winner's circle at home and abroad.

2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.

Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of

Thu, 25 Apr 2013

In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
