2006 Chevy Uplander LS Extended with 128,248 miles and an AutoCheck report in hand that shows only 2 owners, no accidents, and a clean title. Equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 (17mpg city 24mpg highway), automatic transmission, traction control, stabilitrack, ABS, A/C, rear A/C, power windows/locks, cruise, power steering, tilt, am/fm MP3 player, dual air bags, privacy glass, steel wheels, and keyless entry.

The conversion is the Braun Entervan side-entry MANUAL RAMP & DOOR conversion which will never break down or need costly repairs like the electric/automatic door and ramp conversions. One of the many advantages to a side-entry over a rear entry are a lower floor so less of an incline to go up/down, enter and exit at the side of the van so you are not in the street when you get out (for safety reasons), easier loading/unloading because in tight spaces the rear-entry require 30ft. of room front to back to unload), removable front seats to allow up to 3 wheelchairs/powerchairs in the van at once, and the removable front seats allow the wheelchair to sit up front next to the driver so they are not isolated in the rear. This manual setup is great for a business, nursing facility, or for transporting a loved one. Lifting the spring assisted ramp off the ground is easier than picking up a gallon of milk, so it is not heavy. The conversion is a 10" dropped floor allowing 55" of headroom when entering the vehicle, 57.5" of headroom inside the vehicle, 30" wide ramp, and 600lb. weight capacity. Also equipped with the tie-downs, seat belts, along with a rare feature in a folding middle bench seat (see pics) which will allow 7 passenger seating, or you could remove the front passenger seat and place the wheelchair/powerchair in that spot and still have 6 more seats.

The body on this van is clean and rust free, it was used in southwest Oklahoma all it's life as the AutoCheck will show. The interior is very clean and odor free. Mechanically this van runs good, drives good, starts right up, no funny noises, no check engine lights on etc, good tires, and overall very solid. We just replaced the oxygen sensor and this van needs nothing.

Buy with confidence from a seller with a 100% positive feedback rating and with the "buy it now" price all of my vans come with a 6 month, 6,000 mile warranty that covers 100% of the engine and transmission and is honored anywhere in the U.S. If I deliver the van to your doorstep and you do no like the van for any reason I will refund your deposit in full, minus the mileage for delivery (see details on delivery below).

The tires are matching Maxxis Escape P225/60/R17's. The front passenger tires has 6/32" of tread, front driver's 5/32", rear driver 5/32", rear passenger 7/32". As the pictures will show there is a 3/4" scratch on the passenger side front fender and a 2 1/2" scratch on the rear bumper.

Delivery: I will deliver this van anywhere in the 48 states for .60/mile roundtrip. All mileage will be figured using MapQuest originating from 1320 East Kellogg Drive North, Wichita KS. With "buy it now" price I will meet you at the Wichita, KC, or OKC airports free of charge.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
